@supersora95 Xemnas is Xehanort's Nobody not Terra's. Xehanort is made from Terra's body and MX's heart and both Ansem SoD and Xemnas seem to take things from both of them. Therefor Xemnas does have Terra's memories due to his influence but MX's personality, goals and of course memories.

Plus TErra is a example of the theory of when a nobody and Heartless are destroyed the original becomes whole again. Although the three have yellow eyes indeed link Why do you think they added TErra to Final Mix to begin wih he appears after you defeat Xemnas.

Terra is obviously 10 year older than before so his hair is white. That Terra Only remmeber the name xehanort and thinks that is his name and uese it something went wrong with that Terra (xehanort and the nobody Zemnas was born. Nomura states that when a heartless and nobody dies the oroginal comes back which is why in kh final mix after beating xemnas terra battle is unlocked. x
But think about FM2, when you fight terra, I used to have the same thought you did, but then think about Xehanort's "apprentice", it could be possible that the apprentice is the Xehanort we all know today, and all he could remember was his master's name. It kinda makes sense when you think about it.
Interesting point about the Terra battle. However, remember that you also need to finish all worlds to fight him (I couldn't at first, because I didn't finish Atlantica). Still, this will make SO much sense... a meaning well hidden in the "condition for the bonus boss".
And Terra has THE SAME hair as Xehanort (kh2). Only difference is the color, but remember that every color of the light spectrum is considered "normal" in such games.
Sorry to burst your bubbles but unlike the fight against Xemnas in FM1 the fight against Terra is not considered canon (that is, it's not part of the story)
Um who cares about the fight? The words that Terra/Lingering Sentiment is saying is cannon. The words are cannon, the fight is not but still important.
Oh well Nomura confirmed so. look it up. Terra/Lingering Sentiment's WORDS ARE CANON. The fight IS NOT. it was a little bonus that the other creators decided to put in there behind Normura's back. Normura didn't want you to fight Terra at all.
Then that has numerous other possibilities. It could be Terra's words from a conversation in BbS that they used for filler in the fight. The entire concluding Another Side/Another Story text flash were random lines, fit into KH2 wherever it could be fit. So even if it is canon, it may not have weight.
By "canon" now, as even Nomura says, and what is given in the game, Sora heard a man in armor talking and never fought him because he was never canonically in the game to begin with.
ALright I think my theory might make a little more sense then some of the other. Old Fart Xehanort was defeated in birth by sleep, somehow became young and lost his memories, and become what we know as Ansom(heartless) and Xemnas( Nobody). Since they were both killed in Kingdom Hearts, I think the will come back as Old Fart Xehanort in KH3, when ever it comes out. If that makes sense, plz reply.
Dude this is part of a trailer I saw on Veoh. Just search under" Kingdom Hearts Birth By sleep trailer." Just copy this is paste in in the Veoh search bar. Terra, Xehanort and Ven are in it.
i think all those 3 characters are connected. since a person loses their heart and has a heartless and a nobody, terra/xehanort = ansem(heartless) and xemnas(nobody)
Ven = sora(heartless) and roxas(nobody)
and quite possibley aqua = kairi(heartless) and namine(nobody). im not too sure of that last one tho.
even tho there is a 10 year gap somewhere, who knows, maybe there is a story on the side. but thats what i think. We'll just have to wait and see how these stories unfold tho i guess =]

This theory is interesting...we just have to see how it turns out in the game. Also, I posted this comment before but I think Terra is connected to Riku as well. I also heard that KH3 (if there is going to be one) will be made after BBS, 358/2 Days and coded are done. I guess these 3 games will serve as an explanation to what will happen to KH3..
maybe its like riku. riku was a part of xehanort's heartless at one point and defeated it. maybe terra is doing the same. plus terra and riku's names match up so it makes a little more sense.

I think that Terra and Master Xehanort (bald guy) somehow "fuse", like their hearts mix or something. This causes a mix-up in their memories. This is why Xehanort (KH2) forgot everything about his life.
Think about it: Xehanort in KH2 has Terra's hair, face shape, body size, and voice, but he has Master Xehanort's hair and skin color. Plus, Xemnas has Master Xehanort's voice.
I think Master Xehanort went inside Terra's heart. Causeing him to lose his memories. He somehow got to Hollow Bastion where he became Ansem the Wise apprentice. Ansem tried to unlock Terra's memories BUT unlocked Master Xehanorts memories.

not sure if its true but it seems that the xehanort in kh2 is terra since ansem states he has no memmory
Terra is obviously 10 year older than before so his hair is white. That Terra Only remmeber the name xehanort and thinks that is his name and uese it something went wrong with that Terra (xehanort and the nobody Zemnas was born. Nomura states that when a heartless and nobody dies the oroginal comes back which is why in kh final mix after beating xemnas terra battle is unlocked. x

But think about FM2, when you fight terra, I used to have the same thought you did, but then think about Xehanort's "apprentice", it could be possible that the apprentice is the Xehanort we all know today, and all he could remember was his master's name. It kinda makes sense when you think about it.

Interesting point about the Terra battle. However, remember that you also need to finish all worlds to fight him (I couldn't at first, because I didn't finish Atlantica). Still, this will make SO much sense... a meaning well hidden in the "condition for the bonus boss".
And Terra has THE SAME hair as Xehanort (kh2). Only difference is the color, but remember that every color of the light spectrum is considered "normal" in such games.

Um who cares about the fight? The words that Terra/Lingering Sentiment is saying is cannon. The words are cannon, the fight is not but still important.

Oh well Nomura confirmed so. look it up. Terra/Lingering Sentiment's WORDS ARE CANON. The fight IS NOT. it was a little bonus that the other creators decided to put in there behind Normura's back. Normura didn't want you to fight Terra at all.

Then that has numerous other possibilities. It could be Terra's words from a conversation in BbS that they used for filler in the fight. The entire concluding Another Side/Another Story text flash were random lines, fit into KH2 wherever it could be fit. So even if it is canon, it may not have weight.
By "canon" now, as even Nomura says, and what is given in the game, Sora heard a man in armor talking and never fought him because he was never canonically in the game to begin with.

ALright I think my theory might make a little more sense then some of the other. Old Fart Xehanort was defeated in birth by sleep, somehow became young and lost his memories, and become what we know as Ansom(heartless) and Xemnas( Nobody). Since they were both killed in Kingdom Hearts, I think the will come back as Old Fart Xehanort in KH3, when ever it comes out. If that makes sense, plz reply.

i think all those 3 characters are connected. since a person loses their heart and has a heartless and a nobody, terra/xehanort = ansem(heartless) and xemnas(nobody)
Ven = sora(heartless) and roxas(nobody)
and quite possibley aqua = kairi(heartless) and namine(nobody). im not too sure of that last one tho.
even tho there is a 10 year gap somewhere, who knows, maybe there is a story on the side. but thats what i think. We'll just have to wait and see how these stories unfold tho i guess =]

nope , aquaventerra are whole beings , 10 years before sora got the keyblade . terra was watching riku and sora fighting with wooden swords in DI when they were mere kids

This theory is interesting...we just have to see how it turns out in the game. Also, I posted this comment before but I think Terra is connected to Riku as well. I also heard that KH3 (if there is going to be one) will be made after BBS, 358/2 Days and coded are done. I guess these 3 games will serve as an explanation to what will happen to KH3..

maybe its like riku. riku was a part of xehanort's heartless at one point and defeated it. maybe terra is doing the same. plus terra and riku's names match up so it makes a little more sense.

if the theory that I posted in the guy below me's reply is wrong then this one might be right. the bald guy is xehanort from the furter because he he has the yellow eyes but looks much older then any of xehanorts from past games, and terra is xehanort from the past.

I like the Terra=Xehanort theory better. BBS takes place 10 years in the past.
I think that Terra and Master Xehanort (bald guy) somehow "fuse", like their hearts mix or something. This causes a mix-up in their memories. This is why Xehanort (KH2) forgot everything about his life.
Think about it: Xehanort in KH2 has Terra's hair, face shape, body size, and voice, but he has Master Xehanort's hair and skin color. Plus, Xemnas has Master Xehanort's voice.

I think Master Xehanort went inside Terra's heart. Causeing him to lose his memories. He somehow got to Hollow Bastion where he became Ansem the Wise apprentice. Ansem tried to unlock Terra's memories BUT unlocked Master Xehanorts memories.

I ike the theory but um how can you lose your memories by someone taking over you? THAT MAKES NO SENSE. Because in kh1 Xehanort's heartless took control of Riky but RIKU NEVER LOST HIS MEMORIES. HE STAYED CONSCIENCE. HE DIDNT HAVE HIS BODY BUT HE DIDNT LOSE HIS MEMORIES. So yeah...

@Detronilizer Actually Terra's Body + Xehanort = Ansem (Final Boss in KH1.) Xemnas was the nobody of Ansem XD. But since I just saw that this post was 2 years ago.. I'm gonna assume that you know all of these stuff already.. That means that this post has no reason of existance...

Maybe Terra is Xehanort! In the secret ending of KH2 fINAL mIX at the end of the battle his eyes turned yellow like xemnas'/xehanorts' and also his voice actor's the same as xemnas'!And, in the trailer just released, the bald guy was talking to him about the keyblade and how it shouldn't be wield by a dark hearted person which may suggest that baldy may somehow know that terra may become evil (unless he was talking about himself!).Sorry if I seem to be getting a little carried away with myself
