For me, Edge was thrust into the spotlight because he was the best thing the WWE had on their roster in the mid-2000s. His name was familiar. He never main-evented during the Stone Cold/Rock/Triple H era. He seemed a rung below. To say the least, I would induct the likes of Kurt Angle, Davey Boy Smith or even Demolition ahead of him.

I'm not sure that he was actually or not since I didn't care enough to watch from 2004-2009, maybe he was great, just like Eddie, Benoit, Jerchico, Cena, Orton, and Batista... but I never watched any of them then, and I never cared a thing for any of them. Only lately with the resurgence in 2011 have I started watching and liking the WWE again. I like the guys of today much better than those during 2004-2009.
