This show reminds me of High school musical when they break out singing and dancing... only, this show is actually good. And it includes the sexy David Tennant.
The song is "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" by Diana Ross. I think this show is great but I can see why the American version didn't do very well. It didn't have DT in it for one thing and another is that the only thing over the top are the song and dance numbers, the story itself is serious. I don't think that combo is going to do much for the average American.
whenever americans try to americanise a bbc show it doesn't work out cause the humour behind it is different. they change what made the series funny to begin with. I don't get it why they can't just watch a well made brit show and enjoy it. :P (not all americans, obviously, but talking in the overall en masse sense)
@PaddySnuffles I live in California and I would watch these shows if they aired them on our networks. They don't so . . . God Bless YouTube and everyone who posts great British shows so I can watch them! I think Hollywood is obsessed with us watching the shows they pump out and they are scared that we might not "like" or "want" your shows instead. YouTube is like the worlds TV ;-)
@ssoibleman Yes, youtube is very much the world's tv. :D it usually doesn't work when people try to re-do a show turned toward their culture as oposed to just playing the original (I've heard they tried to do a brit 70s show type thing and it flopped, for example...) Yes. I'm afraid American media in general sadly really underestimates the average American (they even change some episode names from bbc stuff!)
naw, I carry me dog like that sometimes! She's very small, and even though she's fluffy there's a time of the year she can't handle an entire walk around the block 'cause she gets too cold, even with her winter jacket.... so I open up my coat, slip her inside, and zip up til only her little head is showing. She loves it. ^^
