  • Wow, two groups of 15 tested with a 4 point difference. That is significant data.

  • Fucking music, I can't really hear what they're saying. Thumbs down! >:(

  • 240p should be illegal

  • u record this with a toaster?

  • was was on the paper?? i didnt get it!

  • Okay, I read the results in the description

  • in the first two examples of method B, the people take it! I didn't see much difference.

  • More like "Here throw this away for me"

  • my questions is.... what would happen if, lets say... kimbo slice was the one handing out the flyers and telling people "have a nice day".....would there be the same reaction from pedestrians?

  • Aw, thats a good idea!!! :-)

  • I AM DEE LAWL!!!!!

  • so if people didnt take the paper, she writes their name and age down???

or is that the number plate she is writing?

    LOOOOOOL

  • song name?

  • Once I was holding a door open for people at my High School, and one girl cursed at me and called me stupid for it, lol. She was like, "Isn't that a waste of air conditioning? Are you stupid or something?"

  • @iAMVyt what did you say?

  • @fgd49v2 I said: "Are you serious?" Lol. And I shut the door. I then told everyone who walked out after her what she said about me holding the door open for her, and they all thought she was being ridiculous.

  • @iAMVyt

Did she happened to have long orange/red hair and did she spoke German?

  • @JLCL01 No, she had brown hair and she was just a regular American High School girl, probably around 15-16, so I highly doubt she spoke German.

  • There is a term for it. For a video like this.... Uhhh

  • @Downfurlife I remember..... Worthless bullshit. As in all results from a "study" like this are worthless bullshit.

  • Yes, to even begin to get accurate results in an experiment, you should use at least 1000 people. But I like the concept. It kind of reminds me of something that was done in the movie "Patch Adams". I liked your experiment, but there were definitely too few people involved, and the location should have stayed the same as well. You have to have that "control" in your experiment in order to provide accurate results.

  • IMO, It's not so much about someone being friendly and more about being called out to a further degree, which places a bit of social pressure on them to accept.

Ie. People will seem more like dickheads if they don't accept a paper if the offerer is vocally acknowledging them than if the offerer is just silently handing them out

  • Great experiment, but who the hell cares about where and how you exactly hid the camera, and what you were pretending to do...

  • I like the second one. It's times like that that make me wonder will our paths ever cross again...

  • weird... i was just watching -The Experiment-... love that movie

  • hello this is chef john from food wishes .com hahahahaha thats where the musics from!

  • So what is the bottom line test results? A was how much better overall?

  • can't say im too surprised at the results

  • Eh. I wouldn't respond because it's not personal. It seems like she's paid to hand out fliers and tell people that.

  • Good, however not too reliable.. you shouldn't have changed locations and should have done it at the exact same time of day.

  • @alexgwyn117 agree... this was definitely not a controlled experiment, rather a girl who wanted to produce results as she wanted.. I think it had something to do with school ... hopefully she got a C- or better

  • @silhouette77777 i dissagree

  • did the fliers as well say "have a nice day"?

  • well... duh... did we really need to do a study to come to this conclusion? be nice and see if people would react better hmmm gee... i wonder which will work better.

  • When I was handing out stuff on Canada day I would say, "Happy Canada day!" And everyone took the paper.

  • I'd be interested about the use of different colours... Yes thats COLOURS NOT COLORS coz im in Australia.

  • There are so many factors that affect the outcome of a pshycological experiment its mind blowing :*(, one can sit for so long trying to pin point every enviromental factor and still be short changed :(

  • so you used 15 trials for each method? if so using more trials would give your experiment more reliable results. i like the concept

  • @DazedBalance No, they mean 13/15 people took it the first time and 9/15 took it the second time.

  • What is that song?

  • Yeah you gget ur cheap CYBER thriills off calling people "trolls" u fuckin waste.

  • LOL, that way cool

  • location was an important factor... you shouldnt have changed it.

  • important variable*

  • You thick fucker.

    Its called constructive criticism...

"Being a troll would be like oh yeah ur so sad doing these experiments..."

Get with the times you dumb fuck.

Also that makes you the troll, so go fuck urself.

  • Actually the fact that you can blow people off by cursing and hide behind your computer screen not to be seen would be trolling. Thus making you a troll.

  • ye....maybe later i dont really want to jack off with an asshole like yourself. btw i wouldn't be crying over such a dumbfuck like you....troll

  • What's wrong with your right ball?

  • @Biloo786786 definitely agree.. once I saw the location change, I realized this was not a controlled experiment.. :(

  • @ why would it matter. Its the same fukn people who move around.

  • Looks like i learned something today.

  • LAWL !!!!! LOL

  • I want to know what the paper said. If I had done this experiment, I would have wanted to reward those that took the paper with a joke or something worthwhile, thus promoting them to take papers from strangers more often.

  • How was the shirt thing relevent...and what is so fascinating about a black tank top?

  • Yeah you guys should do the same thing but with a guy handing out the papers. Still, good job!

  • theres not much of a difference id say, for an individual walking down the street having only one thought in his mind, a girl handing out papers doesnt really mean much to the individual, some people take it because the gene of kindness and helping out is in their body and some people dont care and they jsut walk by without even noticing.

all im saying is it all depends on the person.

  • I would rather say it depends on the situation the person is in, commonly we think that characteristics have more influence over reactions than they actually do.

  • That's a really cool idea!

  • I agree that a male would get different results. Especially on the no talking shoving method. lol

  • You would need to try this with a man also. I think people would take a paper from a "have a nice day" young female, but would respond differently to a young male or older male/female.

  • whered you get these songs?

  • Nice try. Should repeat it a few more times in deiffernt places and times of the day to extract more accurate conclusions.

  • Psychology experiments just aren't accurate enough because they aren't done in controlled environments. You would need to at least do this experiment at different parts of the day and you would have to do more than one to come to a conclusion.

  • I dont think you should generalise near as much as you are... there is alot of work goes into making these experiments fair any yes they will all be tested many times in many ways but you have to do the first experiment before you can do any subsequent ones.

  • Well yes, some of them are, there are lab experiments and field experiments in psychology too. however the ecological validity is often greater in field experiments, just because they do reflect the real life more accurately. However of course you cannot really draw a valid conclusion from this, I agree.

  • man it always that "guy" thats gotta get in the way of things

    cool vid

  • Yeah I know. Kind-of annoying, but there's nothing we can do about it. :|

    Thanks!

  • Great, but would have been so much better without the music.

  • Thanks a lot. :D

I had to have something to fill the silence, though, or my teacher would've downgraded me for it being too dull. Ridiculous, I know. :|

  • Nice experiment. Hi hubby. <3

  • Hi wifey. <3

  • She's mine, Jeff. Leave her alone. :O
