Love it. Its like medium size sketch! What day of the year was this? I went one time after BB season, mid-november. Was small for wedge, but still 8-10 foot faces. Got a few wicked barrels. Seems to break different compared to the other time I went during a large summer swell. More like a "normal" wave, but still slammin!

It depends on if there are off season NW wind swells will ruins the sandbar. If its consistent South swells, the bottom will be good. And the angle is also a big part of it.

@bigislander72 basically it has little to do with the sandbar. There was a man-made jetty (the one you see) that was built there a while back and its creates a refracted wave. The refraction is a small wave that is then sent back to sea and hits the next incoming wave and launches the wave in the air. Basically, a wave bounces of the jetty and combines into another on-coming wave. It's like 2 waves in 1, which gives it that "explosion" effect."

@bigislander72 the wave at the wedge are normaly bout 2 to 4 fett on the daily basis they dont break average because the wave hit the rocks and it wedges up higher thats why u see the people flieing into the air on "ssw" is normaly when its pumping.........it is a fun place but is shallow and their shorebreakers....
