  • from what i can hear this siren runs stdedy for test's right?

  • @Mrgh22 For tests? This video shows nothing to do with a test. It's a fire alert for a structure. There is no Steady signal. Most to nearly all of North Delaware has stopped "Steady alerts" from fire sirens, which were for summoning the volunteer E.M.S. responders. With the paid E.M.S. around the clock, the purpose is not needed. To test it,the fire alert tone is usually activated then canceled

  • @fmartinjr I know it's not a test i was just asking if it ran Steady alert i did'nt know thay no longer ran it in steady.

  • i love the growl when it winds down it sounds sooo badass, our local fd got this siren

  • Was there an actual fire or was that a test?

  • @Railfanable Rigs don't respond on siren tests. And the end I show,"this engine assisted on the alarm".So thats obvious thats it's not a fire siren test.

  • what does sth mean im wondering i was geussing siren. type. horn. or something

  • @nukesvids A siren buff once said it's for Single Tone High

  • The first time I heard a siren like that, I was on a U.S. Navy base as a kid, and I seriously thought we were getting bombed!

  • In small towns in new zealand all fires are attended by volunteers and all called to stations buy fire alarm going off and pagers most engines are on the way by 4 mins of the alarm going off

  • Damn thats loud!! we only have them at the coast now here in the UK, for flood alerts. heard it once when i was in Norfolk, gave me a heart attack..great video

  • That is a strong sounding STH-10. Love the long wind down.

  • you're lucky you dont live down the street from it...i do

  • Brandywine Hundred, huh? I know someone who lives catty-cornered from this station. They've really rebuilt it since the last time I was up there.

Oh, and I'd forgotten that Claymont has green trucks. Magnolia's are the only other green ones I can remember seeing around...

  • great sounding siren, it sounds just like the model 5 we have up here in the town I live in

  • this siren sounds like the FORT ASHBY WV SIREN.

  • I have one of these fine sirens waiting for me to take home, if I choose to, when I pick up my 3T22 (I highly think I will)

  • Theres an STH-10 on Ebay

  • that`s where my sister was born

  • E-one Hush

  • No I was asleep in the car and Claymont's tones woke me,which triggered my inner Fire tone alert, which put me in record mode and the nature of call was blanked from my hearing. But to answer the question just the two companies,so most likely an gas leak.

  • Sleeping in yout car?

  • Yes sleeping in my car.I worked that day and went to Philly afterwards, then coming home I stopped to hopefully, and did get a response on film.
