Do you know why the W&L blowdown in preperation? Because im from Aberystwyth and have been on the Vale of Rheidol Railway and they blowdown at the end of the day. is there much difference?
I hope you enjoyed your stay as much as I enjoyed watching your video. There's an impressive W&L video on here from a camera in front of the loco on the run up Golfa.
Are you looking to qualify as a driver somewhere eventually then?
I'm not sure wether I'll be able to have to the time to join somewhere to voluteer as a cleaner, let alone qualify as a driver.
I was told about the video up Golfa the evening before in the Goat hotel in Llanfair, and they told me how the trackwork made the video a bit jumpy in places. Look out for my video of 'The Earl' climbing Golfa, sometime in the near future.

Gosh is it really 2 years since I last saw this; it's really enjoyable and interesting to see how much work goes into getting a steam engine ready.

hehe. The boiler blow down is my favourite bit. Must have been really defening!

It wasn't quite as load as it appears. Its more of a muffled sound, than a blast.
