search the web for some basic tutorials. when you get used to the user interface, you can start using the manual as a reference. happy tracking!

The program he used: go to milkytracker (dot) org for free downloads and a manual plus a short tutorial, then look up some video tutorials here on youtube to get you started. =)

/me likes 8bit music ;o) But i never understood how to use those sequencers... Yo'll probably need to know notes (and/or) have MIDI enabled keyboard (piano) don't you?

Nice to hear. Using trackers is not that hard really, it just requires a little time to get used to.
Understanding notes, and using a midi-keyboard makes it so much easier.
But you don't need it. I'm using the MIDI from a microKorg to make the entire process faster.
