Hey you stole ny sound hahaha ... Love this video and your choice of gear is exactly what id buy if i had more money ...if you lived near me we would have to be friends Lol
I watched this to see you`re MSQ-100-- BUT, I didn`t see it once... i feel so used..you owe me 4:29...and none of this, "I`ll gladly pay you Tuesday, for a hamburger today" shit !!
Sweet setup. What's sequences everything together? How are you sequencing the non-midi keyboards? Also, what program did you use for your video effects?
@freezazoid Thanks! Everything is mostly sequenced by the MMT8, except for the mc-202 (which is running on it's internal sequencer) and the modular is being sequenced by the Klee. I used Adobe Premiere for video editing and efx.
@synthdood : thanks for the reply... Quick question: If you're using different "clocks" to sequence after some time wouldn't they slowly get off of tempo from each other?
@freezazoid Nope I am only using one clock. The master clock is coming from the MMT-8. I am using the trigger out from the 707 to clock the Klee, and DIN sync from the 707 to clock the mc-202.
good to see the separate outs used on the 707, that thing sounds like crap without some EQing. The bass drum sounds like a cardboard box, then you add some low boost and all of a sudden it gets huge.
How do you hook more than one device up to the MMT-8 at a time considering it takes a MIDI IN and MIDI OUT to sequence a normal synth...? I have an MMT-8 and many synthesizers and drum machines, and a patch bay, but I have yet to figure out how to sync it ALL to the MMT-8. Any Suggestions? Thanks.
Midi in and out from the MMT8 goes to a master synth. In this case the p600. Midi thru from the p600 goes to the 707. The midi out of the 707 goes to a Kenton that's controlling the sh-1. I use the DIN sync out of the 707 to control the mc-202. On the mmt8 you have to specify which midi channel you want to control per track.
Do you know how to hook multiple synths up though? I have a Poly 800 mkii with an IN and OUT, a Microkorg with an IN, OUT, and THRU, and a Casio VZ-10m with an IN, OUT, and THRU. Sorry for the pestering questions, you just seem to know what you are doing here.
@sjmeerkees because some people are more intrested in creation process over a final product. there's nothing exciting about watching how someone is making a music in FL studio:P it's like watching a sex with a plastic doll;) even more boring lol
Im using a Kenton pro solo on the SH-1, and im using an MSQ-100 to control the MC-202. Im also using a KORG-DW8000 as my master controller to sequence everything on the MMT-8
which mixer was in use ?

is there a way to slave the TR yet still be able to access pattern mode - such as midi to sync from the MMT to the TR?

What type of cable is used to connect Roland products? It kind of looks like quarter-inch?
ratatat99 2 years ago
well it depends. The sh-1 is 1/4", but the mc-202 uses DIN cables, the tr-707 uses midi and DIN cables.

imagine this 'beat' without the video.
and replace the title with 'new fl studio' beat. Im sure that this video would have 1 star and 1000 negative comments.
