glad to see the body is stock im tired of seeing people ruining them with ugly ass body kits i have a 95 sl in red that is in show condition completely stock except for rims and a performance pulley atleast with all the people ricing these with body kits it just makes the all original ones go up in value

Awesome man. I love this car. My absolute dream car since I was 12 (I have gran turismo 3 to thank for that lol). I will be getting a glacier white '97 SL very soon! The seller is waitin for me to make a payment, and it will be on the way soon! I also agree with some of you who posted below, the SL probably is a tad more reliable than a VR-4 just cuz the VR-4 is so badass it uses so much stuff; which means so much stuff can go wrong. Less insurance for an SL too! haha. 3000GT 4 LIFE!

1991 - 1993 Base and midrange (SL) 3000GT models got a twin-cam, 24-valve 3.0-liter V6, rated at 222 horsepower.

1997 Mitsubishi 3000: Dodge Stealths dropped out of the market after 1996, but the Mitsubishi 3000GT carried on with minor styling touch-ups. A lower-priced base coupe joined the 3000GT lineup, carrying a single cam Mitsubishi-built 3.0-liter V6 that produced 161 horsepower. The dual-cam engine in the SL lost four horsepower.

So the base model 1991-1993 3000GT has 222HP well as SL.

Any 3000GT SL is fast enough for any teenager. The VR-4 is almost stupid fast. I find the longer you wait to get one, the better you feel when you can actually sit behind the wheel and drive yours. Insurance is almost always lower too!

Understanding any car with 200k miles will probably have issues doesn't necessarily mean stay away from it. Buy one and join the 3000GT community!

And there are better ways to spend your money on the car than adding a turbo since it's got so many miles.

The difference between FWD, RWD, and AWD is huge - all fun in their own ways. AWD spanks most other powertrain layouts in most drag races. RWD is fun for drifting and burnouts. FWD is safer in slick conditions than rear wheel drive.

whatever you do do not get a base 3000gt

it only has 160hp and the car weights too much. the sl is really fast thoughi got an sl wen i was 12 now im 17 and got a base and sl 5 years of storage 60,000 miles.. the base 3000gt is slow but the sl breaks easy from too much power in the engine

@blaze7223176 everyone says the 3000gt's weigh allot. Sure they weigh around 300-500 more lbs then the eclipses, but my like the 98 SL only weighs around 3100. My brothers 2003 pt cruiser weighs 3400, and my step dads 2001 lexus gs 300 weighs around 3500. They don't weigh more then the average car, but they also don't weigh less then the average sports car.

I got a Quote for around $110.30 a month. That's not that bad. I also went to a larger town, saw a 3000Gt Sl and a Vr4 next to each other. Looking at the Sl, don't wan't to guess the Insurance for the Vr4. Looks like i'm getting one soon. ;-)

3000GT has 3.0L engine and FWD.

3000GT SL has 3.0 or 3.5 L engine and also FWD.

3000GT VR4 has 3.0 or 3.5 L turbo engine and AWD.

3.5 engines are not stock, they are customized. If you want to have 280 HP instead of 220 on SL, you should get a 3.5 engine...
