i'm thinking possibly 1979, "highway to hell" came out in july, they'd all ready been invited to tour with some big names, kiss, ufo, rush... bon mentioned 80,000 people, which may have been cleveland stadium that was actually one day after the release of "highway to hell". aerosmith, journey, thin lizzy. the short span of july 79 to bon's death in feb. 90, ac/dc was playing huge concerts. i could be wrong, it may have been earlier, only a few places pack 80,000. it's a guess.
These guys were always humble and down to Earth. It is rock 'n roll and they understood their role and were in awe of it. They were never obtuse and always straight forward like their music.
