Clint Eastwood never left the states when he was in the service and was stationed in California. Good or bad excuse, either way it is what it is. I like Wayne, so did my Dad and he served during wartime and had combat experience. Others who served may not have liked him. So what's the difference whether John Wayne dodged the draft or Clint Eastwood kept the girls of California happy while he was in? I liked both as actors, but John Wayne was a good patriot.
