It's obvious, even on the album with the prominence of the backing vocals at points, that this was originally going to be sung by Nick. It's interesting that they changed it, maybe it sounded better with Alex when recorded. Nick's vocals could work really well live though.

Love this song. On the album it sounds like a crazy collision of the Beatles, Radiohead, and Duran Duran--all the while keeping that unique Franz Ferdinand feel. It's the trippiest thing ever.
