'Giurlfriend' IS an awesome song and Avril is really hot. But it doesn't detract from the question of similarities. Just like the Banana Split theme song and Buffalo Soldier started the questions, they will continue to be asked as long as music exists (did I say that Avril is HOT?)

BAD GIRL AVRIL! These songs are too similar to be a coinsidence- Avril had to have used that song as an influence. The lyrics are just alike, and the clapping in the background is identical.

I copyrighted the phrase Hey Hey You You in 1964, 2 months before Mick stole the concept from me. Call my lawyer. Umm, I love the Rubinoos, but it was kind of an obvious hook, and I don't think she stole it. But the Rubinoos are the best bubblegum pop band ever, and guitarist Tommy Dunbar was my hero in 1977!
