  • can u post another video of florida king snake care...

  • Is it normal if they throw spasms in their tanks? Mine ruins his tanks display by throwing spasms...

  • this one is really cool

  • bikaboymigs@aol.com

  • hey could you email me i need advice on my florida king snake

  • love this video mate :)

  • i just found out i am getting a florida king snake to

  • @willie4699 thats awesome check out my snake update vid for more recent footage! hope you enjoy your new snake

  • @matt37075 thanks mine is going to be about 12- 14 inches so i am happy it is a baby plus i hope it is not that agrresive

  • @willie4699 it more than likely wont be, like i said in the video this onw is just like that in the cage check out the update vid on my channel you will see shes gotten better with age

  • Both your snakes look alot bigger then you say they are you need to measure them..just get a piece of rope hold it at there tell and run the rest down there back then put it next to the measuring tape

  • @BpRangler yea man this vid was a while back my cali king just shed and is about the length of my air hockey table! its amazing! but i heard that their skins could stretch a little so its not an accurate way of measuring and yea i have a tailors tape which is kinda like measuring tape but easier to work with and i will use that or string once every few months

  • @matt37075 Does it hurt when he bites?

  • awesome snakes matt. I also have had cali and florida kingsnakes. i've noticed cali's are fussy eaters sometimes, but florida kings just have extra energy that they're always looking for food. it's odd that your florida king is so aggressive though. mine is very gentle. all kings rattle from time to time though.

  • @dawg43212 my cali has NEVER rattled and has always ate well

  • first you said he is aggresive then you said he is friendly witch one is it

  • @chaos08ish if you read the other comments you would see me explain that he is cage territorial, he is aggressive in the cage and once you get him out he is perfect

  • cool snake, my florida king ( domino )is abit smaller... not far of your size but never had any aggresion from her, the calmest snake i ever met, she did shake her tail at the vet but i think that was more stress of transporting. my rat snake ( mitch ) is convinced my fingers are adable. hes hard work but ill have him tame...

  • @sparkingtonstanly yea this was a while back hes much larger now and he is only aggressive in his cage hope things work out for you and your fingers lol

  • if you make his substrate deeper, he can burrow and tunnel through it, this is their nature. his shape of body, very round and strong, lets you know the king snake is a burrower and is powerful on and in the ground, not such a great climber.

this could be why it's stressed? nowhere to hide good enough?

the only time my king's shaken his tail, is after his shed, the tiniest tip of his tail didn't come off and it irritated him. i slid my fingers over his tail, it came off, he's happy again

  • One of my snakes is a Florida King.

It's over 6 ft, I never Power Fed it, it just got that big on his own in 5 years.

I'll attach a video, in case your interested in seeing a big one.

The only time it ever bit me was when I had been handling a mouse, and I had mouse scent on my hand.

It let go right away when it realized it had made a mistake.

  • how big do these guys get?

  • @EternalLife47 4-5 feet sometimes a little more this one is just fat my cali king is the long one

  • have you ever scared anybody with it

  • @MrJackhiggens yup a few people haha

  • scale 1-10 how much did getting bit hurt

  • @MBRT896 0000 their teeth are practically toothbrush bristles its the squeeze that kills their prey (the mice)

  • @matt37075 no, their teeth are more like tiny needles, they curve backwards, like hooks, to that prey doesn't wriggle away once caught. you're right, they are constrictors. beautiful snake

  • @loathedandabhorred nah bro he is cage territorial not stressed and he has about 5 inches of substrate to hide under i promise i know what im doin

  • great video man, and the thing with most kingsnakes is that they are "cage protective" or territorial i guess you could call it.....but yeah getting bit is just a part of life when keeping snakes i have 5 and my burm bit me twice and my boa actually tagged me once to....not out of aggression but anger....some snakes "tollerate" more things like ball pythons are very "easy going" but kingsnakes are usually always on a "short fuse" so to speak

great video and beautiful king bro

  • @boasrbeast thanks man! and yea i have noticed that as soon as he is out of the cage he is fine lol and my cali king is super laid back and tolerant

  • FL Kings are aggressive. They have a calm temperment. Look at mines and he cooler than a tray of ice cubes.Eats out my hand and loves to be petted.

  • these guys arent aggressive

    just defensive

once you get them out they're calm as fuck

  • yea thats true i was just using that tern cuz out of my two snakes hes "the mean one" lol

  • cricky what beautiful snake steve ; )

  • dude halarious cool snakes

  • BAHAHAH! he's not a long? that'd hurt my feelings.
