I saw GIGOT on AMC 12 years ago...I was getting ready for work and could not pry myself away from it. I got fired, well worth it. Especially since this is the hardest film to find in the world. Thank you Mr. Gleason!
Great movie my sister and i watched it together when we came here from Puerto Rico back in the early 60's we both sat in front of the TV and cried...lol... Truly Unforgettable.. Finally found it on DVD and made a copy for my sister and put the other one in the safe... Great Job on putting this on youtube...
I also have been looking for this movie for 20 years, I watched it as a child... and Loved it, My father was a huge Jacki Gleason fan, had all the honeymooner episodes, even the lost episodes he had on video tape.. and now I can't help myself but loving him as well. I am also watching this movie for the first time since I was an 8 year old girl. I used to watch it all the time as a child.. I am 29 now and watching it is bringing back so many memories. I know how you feel.
Jackie Gleason had the wonderful quality of bringing pathos to almost every role he played. The "poor soul" persona he perfected so well could be applied to every role from Ralph Kramden to Gigot. And his ability to convey such emotion without a single word of dialog is masterful. I would have to say that I find everyone in this film despicable except for Gigot and Nicole. And there are a few scenes that make me cringe. Seeing him get beat up at the carnival in front of Nicole is hard to take.

I have seen this movie one time in my life and LOVED it!--I have tried to find it for at least 2O yrs. THANK YOU for providing it here.
