Yes I understand the concept of martial law. However you should familiarize yourself with "continuity of government" which eradicates checks and balances inside of our government.

Not sure what you mean in that it's suppose to cancel it out. martial (military) law is exactly (usually temporary) despotism. Under cont. of government, the executive branch would be in complete control of the military.

well by cancel out i mean its supposed to stall further economic difficulties because the market will put a hold on almost everything but means to survive such as food clothing and liqueds (it doesnt seem as bad as it sounds :) ) by keeping security at its highest. its hard to explain but i understand where you are coming from
