man i hate recurvers. its not that i ahte the bow itsself it just that every 1 in the club im in uses them apart from a select fuw who use compounds or longbows. its just after so long seeing people useing them and the stuck up twats grrr

Whats the deal with the long pole sticking out the front and letting the bow rock forward? I don't understand the point?

It's a stabiliser, helps balande the bow and absorbs vibration. Also the bow rocks forward after releasing the arrow because :

- the bow is not held as it gripping the bow would change the trajectory

- it rocks forward because of he weigt at the ip of the stabiliser
