The actual mechanics of it at the graduate/research level are probably well beyond my chemistry/biology, but an introductory class seems enough information to make it viable, without getting into the deep mechanics.

Everyone should check out The Teaching Company's DVD course "Origins of Life" at teach12. com. It shows how hard the problem is and how much amazing work has been done to figure it out. They just ignore the magic hypothesis and keep looking for a natural cause.

I suck at chemistry, but follow the gist of your videos (I think). It is always useful to have this sort of material on here for those of us trying to keep the religious fundamentalist types in check.
The background music is OK, I think, but possibly try some videos without it. It makes the video more lively, of course, but is that going to help with your intended "demographic"?

*shudder* RNase. A guy I used to work with would go through a box and a half of glovesand would refuse to talk whenever he was doing an RNA extraction. It makes you so paranoid, in your hair, on your skin, breathing it all over your experiment, what if the person next to you at the bench doesn't clean up properly? *shudder*

Everyone should check out The Teaching Company's DVD course "Origins of Life" at teach12. com. It shows how hard the problem is and how much amazing work has been done to figure it out. They just ignore the magic hypothesis and keep looking for a natural cause.

Just learning about transcription and translation in Biology A2. I must say you do make a dry topic (as it's taught in class) more interesting. I like how i'm understanding most of your videos now.
We also had a debate about homeopathy and your video gave me a lot of good arguments for it. Keep up the good work! :D

Great video dude. Do you know anything about clay theory? (check "originoflife" "dot" "net") It's my favorite take on abiogenesis. (I do mean favorite simply because I like it) But unfortunately I know bugger all about chemisty, chose physics instead ... ):
