  • I only found out about this dog breed today, so this video has been extremely helpful.

  • Cottons are so cute, i have one "Lulu"

  • I LOVE cotons because we think I have one named Bekker! He is feisty and has the same fur and face as cotons and has a little yellow markings on him!

  • This is THE BEST dogumentary we have ever seen. Lisa Campbell does an excellent job presenting this incredible little dog to the world. We have 2 of these little rascals who bring us great joy everyday!!!

  • wonderful dogs.....beautiful.....awesome....

what more can I say....can't wait to have one...

too bad I can't find here...

    great dogs.....

  • very educational and informative...hope to get one coton soon...

    want to have so.....so badly......

  • What a great video! Our Coton is 6 months old...we brought him home when he was 8 weeks old. He was very easy to potty train. I did crate train him. But, he's only gone in the house a handful of times in his whole life. He has been such a JOY!

  • they are so pas beau pentoute

  • @CandyCrazy78 They have very distinctive personalities, CandyCrazy78. Some are very energetic and others are very laid back. They really tend to take on the energy of their owner(s). If you're relaxing, they're happy to relax right there with you. But they're "always" happy to go for a romp outside.

Re: Potty training - I am no expert - but from my research and experience - it's best to crate train them - and as "early" as possible.

  • This was a great video. I love my coton and everything you reported is absolutely spot on.

  • how fast does the hair grow? could i possibly just have the face's hair relatively short so i can see the eyes and everything?

  • Saw one for the first time the other day---and I fell in love. What a rascal.

  • kul. i hav two =DD

  • Yes, I met you at Jeanette's place.

  • Lisa, I met you today and you told me about the dogumentary. Thanks for sharing I really enjoyed it. I have shared it with others.

  • @10151943 Did I meet you at Jeanette's place? I've been thinking about you - and glad that you watched. Be in touch! ;) LC

  • Nice work. Our coton has been an integral part of our family and has only been separated from us (at least one of us is always home) 1 weekend out of 6 years. We have never taken him on a flight and might someday but for now, driving is the only vacation he can come with us.

  • Are they expensive??

  • i dont know how to pronounce their breed/name

  • this sounds like the best breed of dog ever……how would they be for people with allergies?

  • @MsOhayoOhio great! no shedding and hypoallergenic. ;)

  • @yoljarvi

They don't look like maltese to me! for an untrained eyes, they look similar because of the long fluffy white coat! But they are different :) The simplest difference is the type of coat. Maltese has single, silky coat while the coton de tulear has a cottony coat.

  • My family loved this film! I am sending to a lot of friends, an amazing breed and people should know it. Congratulations!!\

  • @claudialevin Can you believe it. It's the ONE YEAR Anniversary of The Milestone Project. We'll be producing a sequel soon - and would love to include your best pic of your pups. Thanks for enjoying and sharing it. Please continue to share with your friends. ;)

  • Great video, Lisa. Excellent!

  • The reception of this film short has been amazing. Coton de Tulear, The MILESTONE Project, was 'heART work' for me. I love my little Coton, Milestone very much. He is just the best!

I'm humbled by your kudos from around the WORLD. Thank you for watching! Lisa

  • Thanks for making this,it does really helps alot.:)

  • They look like big Maltese.

  • Lisa, that was the best dog breed film I have ever seen! Kudos to you. My wife and I are enjoying our nearly 1 year old Coton very much here in Joliet, IL

  • @trainguy1946 Can you believe it's the ONE YEAR Anniversary of the release of Coton de Tulear, The Milestone Project: a DOGumentary. Please continue to share it. We'll be producing a sequel soon and would love to include a pic of your pup. ;)

  • This is absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much for this video!

  • Outstanding! Thanks for a beautiful piece of work.

  • What a great video. I will watch it again with our "Coco" on my lap. She was unfortunately a puppy mill baby but was rescued by Jane A & UCARE & we adopted her a few years ago. Her other brother, Einstein (a large miniature poodle), my husband and I adore her. The "big dog in a small dog's body" is a perfect description. There will definitely another Coton in our household in the future. Thanks.

  • Otto - my beautiful Coton de Tulear - and me have adored this video! Congratulations!

  • Lisa, This is so great. We have two sisters from the same litter. They are 3 years old and so very different from each other in looks and personality. They are the best. Do you know if there is a Coton Club in Georgia or the southeast? We live south of Atlanta. Also, do you know if there is a show schedule or any shows in Atlanta? I do not want to show mine, but would love to attend a show.

We alos get, "a what" when asked what kind of dog is that!!!

  • @mybellababy2010 maybe we should set up a Coton group in GA! I'm in NE Atlanta.

  • @Kelky1966

@ mybellababy ..a Coton group is a GREAT idea! I'd participate.

  • This is an excellent production! I love all the pics of some of my favorite Cotons! Thank you! Desiree

  • They're adorable. We have 2 sizes of Maltese, and I often wonder if the larger one is a Coton. He's 10 lbs and fits the description.

  • Thanks Lisa! I now have something to show all those people who say 'a WHAT?'

our 8 month old coton has been a delightful addition to our family, he laid his head on my computer desk and watched the video too!

    - happy Coton owner, Atlanta GA.

  • @Kelky1966 I'm in Atlanta too, Kelky1966! Perhaps our pups can have a play date. ;) LisaCampbell

  • @LisaCampbellMEDIA that would be fun! he gets together with his sister sometimes, and his Uncle will be coming to live nearby next month. I am in Norcross.

  • @ Ty, you are quite welcome. As you know, I've fallen in love with your Passiflora, especially knowing a bit(e) of her history. ...smiles. Thanks for sharing her pic. She's beautiful!!

@ Steve and Lynda - you are very welcome. It was my pleasure to do. The research taught me LOTS about about this great breed. Love my Coton!!

@Sonya - Thanks so much. Thanks for being such a great Coton owner - organizer. YOU are the best! ;)

  • WOW Lisa!!! great documentary, like Sonya said... thank you for showing the world what a wonderful breed the Coton de Tulear is.

we actually got very excited to see you used one of our Passiflora's pictures.

    thanks again for sharing this!!!

  • Thank you for this DOGumentary. We have a Coton and love him. They have such lovely dark, liquid eyes and a great personality - our Danny is the consumate companion dog. Having said that there are so many wonderful dogs waiting for a home in the local humane society or rescue group. Much as we love our Coton, we will never buy a purebred again unless he/she is a rescue dog.

  • Fantastic video Lisa! You are now known as Coton de Tulear Hero! This is amazing video, you have shown the world what a wonderful dog the Coton de Tulear is and WHY! Thank you... ps don't know if I am an expert...but thank you anyways.. always learning and always willing to share what I have learned...as you know. Thank you sweetie...your the best!
