  • The second example is wrong, as far as I know. "Eu não entendo" is grammatically correct, but is referred to when you don't get the idea of something. If you want to say, for example that you didn't understand what that person said to you, it's more common to say "Eu não entendi", which is past tense. And I know, I speak fluent Portuguese.

  • i love portuguese and i'd love to learn it, i don't even find it that hard because i can speak spanish too.. and i can spell it right, hah :D but i don't have the time and money to go to courses and even less, to go on a trip somewhere... too bad :( just in case someone might want to teach me some portuguese, write me a message :D btw, i'm not american... just for the record haha

  • i hate portuguese!!!! i can't learn is so hard

  • pode falar mais devagar, por favor?

It's hard to get it right with bad audio quality and fast speaking.

  • Actully if u are good with French and Mexican spainish. Portuguese is easier to learn... But all I wanted to say about this video is .. U as the presenter are going too faster.

- Recomendo

    ------------------------------------------------

    Good initiative to teach Portuguese.

The Portuguese language is one of the most romantic of the world. Throughout the book by Luis de Camoes "Os Lusíadas." - I strongly recommend.

  • @NightManiacsInc Same to you...

  • @ThePsychoDiego

yea but unlike you im NOT wrong, DUMBASS !

  • @NightManiacsInc ASSHOLE!!

  • @ThePsychoDiego I knew u were from PT lol...u should to know..people just prefer to learn portuguese with a brazilian accent

  • Can someone tell me, what is the difference between brazilian portoguese and portugal portuguese?? I'm interesting to learn this language but, unfortunately, in my town there isn't a teacher to ask.:(

  • @MultiTata80 well, there are actually a lot of differences! The accents are very differents, we have also different words for the same things and some phrases are built in a different way! It's like american an british english =D

  • @MultiTata80 It's like adrepossati1 said, we have different words, phrases structure, grammar and our sounds are way more "closed" per say (the brazilian sounds are more out loud).

But there are differences, i speak european portuguese and sometimes i have difficulties to understand what brazilian folks are saying! xD

But if you want to learn you should choose just one and learn from there, don't mix both because the grammar it's different. :)

  • @MultiTata80 A good way to learn Portuguese is to find people who speak Portuguese and learn with them. Write back and forth with them and with the help of time, asking them when you don't know something, and using a dictionary or translator, soon you will be able to read and write fairly well. Then you can start Skyping and practice your listening and speaking! InterPals is a good site to find people who are looking for penpals and practice with them! I've also heard LiveMocha is good.

  • Good portuguese.

Without accent. Many people teach brazilian portuguese with accent of Rio de janeiro. This not.

Is like the portuguese of Sao Paulo

  • Hola, quisiera aprender Portugues. Me encanta la cultura.

  • you should pronounce sloewr so i can hear the letters

  • So amazing!

  • Portuguese and Spanish sound alike!

  • @WorldBeautifulLook italian is a mix of portuguese and spanish xD

  • @DontClickMeNow I never mention Italian??

  • @DontClickMeNow No, italian is not a mix of portuguese and spanish. They all latin languages, but not a mix.

  • @WorldBeautifulLook I was just saying how alot of languages sound like each other

  • @WorldBeautifulLook

    no they fucking don't, lol

  • @gloomyoutlook Yes they do I'm Brazilian & Dominican I think I know ;)

  • why does everyone thank brazil ! YES, they speak portuguese but why not thank the PORTUGUESE for the language. none of these tutorials teach european portuguese.

  • @itsmillymay probably because most of the people who learn portuguese because they like Brazil and wanna go there, not to Portugal...these tutorials are in brazilian portuguese because it's more spoken than portuguese from Portugal, since in Brazil there are almost 200 milion people, and in Portugal not even 10% of that!

  • @itsmillymay more brazilians than portuguese its more useful for north americans to learn given that brasil is closer. same reason why we learn latin american spanish and not spaniard spanish

  • meu sonho e aprender a falar ingles

  • Very similar to spanish

  • thats brazilian !!!!!!!!

  • Vou dar o meu melhor para aprender Portugues... :) :) :) I know I will speak good Portuguese one day in future as long as I don't stop working on it...~! :)

  • @arwenlcw

Hoho, nice! Good luck then! :D

  • Oh wow ... I'm scared to go to Brazil now, People are going to laugh at me as soon as I open my mouth to falar Lol

  • Why is the accent so hard to do! :((( I love it but its hard!

  • @twilightfan2594 ikr? the accent is so cute. I'm portuguese but I want a brailian accent hehehe

  • @twilightfan2594 é difícil mas chegas lá ;p "is difficult but u get there" lol

  • powinna być powtórka zdania po portugalsku wolniej.

  • any person that speaks any kind of romance language will easily understand most of those words its not just spanish that is similar to portuguese it is all the latin (romance) languages.

  • This language... sounds HORRIBLE. Sorry to say it.

  • @easternshock this language.. sound amazing.

just because you can't learn somenthing new.

if you don't like, it's just because you are so idiot and can't learn

portuguese is hard to learn and to speak

  • @Reproductions93 First of all I'd learn swahili before i'd learn portuguese, and also, it sounds gross. Most people think this way.

  • @easternshock i don't think so

    it's just a landuage.

    sound like spanish

    and spanish is nice too!!

  • @Reproductions93 German, Russian, Chinese and Turkish are all very nice sounding languages....

  • @Reproductions93 its brazilian pronounce. its really differeent...its almost same as UK vs USA.

  • @zecapaa yeah! i know about it!! and i am brazilian!!

  • Why so much noise in the background? Horrible!

Faltava soamente ouvir o samba no fundo!!

  • Hello, If someone wants to learn/practise Portuguese, send me a message so we can talk by msn. I'm Brazilian and I need a native English speaker to practise my English. And also I like to meet people from other countries and coultures. I'll be waiting for the message. Até mais!

  • @DouglasAta1 umm hello i need to practice my portugese will u help me learn please......??

  • Sounds just like Spanish, and i thought italian was the only language similar to Spanish.

  • @Ericisgoodenough yea except the words are pronounced differently and all of the romance languages are similar to each other that means spanish, portuguese, italian, french (to a certain extent), catalan, galician etc...

  • @StbI990 not rly

  • My tongue just can't fit to that pronunciation! I'm already in trouble with English hence my mother tongue is Fenno-Ugric-Uralic. Very different to Germanic and Romantic languages.

  • @vortis18

devagarrrrr porrrrr favorrrrr, é um claro sotaque carioca.

  • Portuguese is a beautiful language XD

  • @StbI990 I´m a spanish speaker and Im trying portuguese. These courses look easy but when I check a show on tv in portuguese I understand nothing. ;). But Im just starting.

  • @CarlosMarioMedellin hey thats nice man!!! I'm a portuguese speaker and I'm learning Spanish... =D Bons estudos!

  • @StbI990 Fucking easy for you not for me. Check the news in portuguese and I garantee you a spanish speaker won`t understand shit.

  • @CarlosMarioMedellin well im a spanish speaker and i understand when someone speaks to me in portuguese so do not make ignorant comments please thank you

  • nice jsut should speak higher we dont hear u man !!

  • Did Portugal take, destroyed, raped , stole as much from Brazil during the colony as the spaniards did to the rest of south america and central america.? I understand the king of Portugal thought it was better moving to Rio while Napoleon was taking over the world.

  • @CarlosMarioMedellin cus he took portugese and put it down into ruin lol

  • @CarlosMarioMedellin sry portugal XD portugese is the language sry

  • this is Brazilian!!

  • 2 questions.

how do you say free in portuguese?

    and what does "ordens" mean?

  • @sandwichappy

    Free = Grátis ,

sempre as Ordens is a expression that mean any time

  • just what i was looking for. great video!

  • yeah brazilian accent you can tell the diff vs portugal, its intresting language but for me as a serbian, spanish is easier to learn that portugese.

  • Too fast :c

  • i loooooove that you spoke quickly so i can actually say it how other people say it

  • This isnt damn Portuguese, this is Brazilian !! Its like USA with U.K,it isnt the same accent and some words are different LOL

Sir, How could would it be if you could lower the volume of the musica so I can hear your pronunciation.

  • Any portuguese these people havent taught you... Send me a message and i will reply the answer straight to you!!! Thank you and have a nice day :)

  • such sexy language... thank you brasil... <3

  • The mere passage of time would absolve the Brazilians of the necessity of speaking just like the Portuguese. Language changes fast, especially with foreign influences, but even without.

  • language does not have any ugly or gay, just each one tries to defend his honor and lingua. As people are nationalists and racists, just so insulting other people and cultures. both from Portugal and the Portuguese of Brazil languages are beautiful and everyone should respect the culture from another country if you do not like the language need not offend those who use it.

    is a matter of education

VIVA CURITIBA.

  • @DecoPage666 Certeza! :D - Curitiba é a melhor xD

  • O português MAIS BEM FALADO DO MUNDO é o portugues de Curitiba. Capital do Sul do Brasil.

  • Come on, do you really think anyone can learn portuguese like that?????

  • this is hard haha

  • A good way to learn brazilian portuguese it's talking with brazilians. A lot of brazilian people would like to learn english and teach portuguese... Share knowledge and culture is a good thing to do. If someone like to improve or learn brazilian portuguese, add me on skype: rodrigopachmor

    Regards.

  • i better learn portuguese by the 2014 world cup

  • @locomex713 i'm doing that also

  • @locomex713 you better prepare to see our 6th win (:

  • hey guys and girls, if you like portuguese, learn portuguese with brazilian accent, 'case the brazilian accent don't hurt your ears, it's more suave, accents from sao paulo city it's more elegant. i desire success to you! - eu desejo sucesso pra voce!

  • @rapazdireito111 its more suave? Brazilian ppl are so caught up in their own arses that they can't even notice that what they are saying its not PT at all, its a language derivated from the PT mixed with the English language. It's not the original, it's far damn worst, there is no imagination there..No way in fucking hell that this video would teach PT to anyone.Give us some break, this is a language that took thousands of years to be build. Brazil only exists at 500 years and we owned it !

  • @fallencmd owned is past tense baby. You just dont accept the fact that we are a bigger nation than you now.

  • @weykmanfr quantity is not quality, sure you have a much bigger nation (fucking is easy btw) living on the streets , criminality on the favelas etc. And now declaring a CLOWN as a member of the government, that just shows how a fucking circus that your country is and a total joke .Really you guys make me laugh :)

  • @fallencmd When I said bigger I meant quality. I've been 2 Portugal and I didnt see anything that would make it better than Brazil, It was horrible actually, impolite people. Bad humored. U guys need 2 learn that being part of Europe doesnt mean that u r better than the others. Portugal and Portuguese people are mostly like that. I fortunately got to know some great people. I hate these stupid arguements. You still think u own us. But we already had people living here when Pedro A. C. came here.

  • @weykmanfr i prefer bad humoured ppl and a honest country than walking on the street of a country to get robbed, killed for a pair of shoes or just for the fun of it . You started the argument (to my statement), not me so don't come with that crap. And btw we're not bad humoured ppl, we're pretty happy , but probably for ppl like you definately you'll get a bad humour. We owned Africa as well the difference is , they maintain the respect and dignity no matter how poor the country is. So F.O.

  • Comment removed

  • @fallencmd I'm sorry, why should I respect you??? After all you stole from us years ago, messing around with our native ones, fooling them. As I said, we already had people living here when you stepped in Brazil, but you had to come here, take what we had and use our people as slaves, torturing them. How can you aske me to respect you? You should respect us, cuz without everything you took from us, you would be nothing. Now go back to school and learn some history of ur own country.

  • @weykmanfr Probably u're momma lived there before LOL

I didnt said respect for the Portuguese ppl, i said respect for yourselves ! Because you dont respect each other, killing your neighbors should be like eating desert or something. Anyway, talking with a minority like you its kinda degrading so bye . Have a nice life till your 30's if ure lucky

  • @fallencmd Don't be stupid, u talk as if Portugal was the safest country in the world. We dont do what u r saying. Every country has violence, I live in Italy and I know that. I see horrible things happening here too. If we have i higher rate of violence it's because we are a big country, the same happens in the US. This is logical. You are so exagerating. Plus, we treat you guys so well when you go to our country, but you dont do the same for some reason. This is all about predjudice against us

  • @weykmanfr "If we have a bigger rate of violence it's because we are a big country" hmm.. do you know the meaning of RATE?!!

  • @killursorrow lemme try this again. "If we have a higher rate of crime and violence, it's because we are a bigger country"

  • @weykmanfr Continua errado.

  • @rapazdireito111 accents from sao paulo city it's more elegant? omg since when? it's totally different, portuguese from portugal is way better, it's the truthful one

  • Pode falar mais devagar por favor??

hehe but thanks for the video....I mean....

    OBRIGADO!! right? lol

  • these are broken portuguese

  • It's so easy when you know spanish. I could guess some phrases correctly without even looking at the english subtitles.

  • Se vocês quiserem praticar portugues me adicione pois estou aprendendo ingles e podemos ajudar um ao outro...If you guys want to learn portuguese add me as your friend cause I've been learning english by myself and we can teach each other...see ya

  • NOBODY speaks like this "desculpe, eu não entendo" . it will come out something like "ahn?"

  • if u know spanish then portugese and italian are pretty much the same crap

  • @Pentaparsec thats profound, thanks for sharing lol

  • @guitaristavista lol np
