i just did my first set of flat twist & used satin rollers on the ends. they're a bit sloppy, but practice makes perfect right? i'm hoping it comes out as awesome as yours :D
@Uniquelise3 not that great lol. i don't think i did them tight enough but i like it because i don't have to style my hair everyday. i just wear a satin wrap when i have to go out & every 3-4 days wash, dc, etc. & repeat.
Wow that is a really different way to do a twist out...Since I decided to go natural my bed time routine has been moisturizer, leave in conditioner and water...Then I Bantu knot and tie down with a silk scarf. Last night I did the baggie method because I noticed my hair would be dry the next morning. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep moisture in your hair for the next day???
After your leave in conditioner, try sealing in the moisture with an oil. It can be a light oil like coconut or jojoba. I seal mine with a shea butter mixture sometimes. But Cantu shea butter is real good for keeping hair moisturized
Hey how are you and the baby? Hope she's sleeping good throughout the night. How has your hair done since the birth? Did you have much shedding? You need to do another update.:) Thanks for commenting.
Oh and I PLAN to transition at least 7 -9months but it also depends on what my hair does as far a breakage and just me being able to deal with the stringy straight ends.:)
I'm doing really good mentally. I have a great support system here at home so that helps. My husband is a big supporter. BTW, my camera is a Canon PowerShot SD750, the best b-day gift ever last year.
that looks good

If you have a Macro setting on your camera, then use this to get good texture shots.

Beautiful!!! I'm actually rocking this style right now as well. Haven't mastered the Bantu knots, so I've been using flex rods to roll the ends.

Love it! BTW, what type of camera do you use? Your video was amazingly clear even without HD.
