Hi, i've had the same reactions to the meds you spoke about in your previous videos-however i would like to try Zyprexa but am too fearful of the weightgain and the possible development of Diabetes..are you having blood tests to monitor your glucose and cholesterol levels ?? I've found your Channel last week and have enjoyed listening to your stories..
Have you heard of Tardive Dyskinesia? Look it up on youtube. This can happen while you are taking the meds or when you stop. It is permanent causing uncontrolled movements of the face or tongue forever due to brain damage.
@wepul Yes, my doctor has told me about tardive dyskinesia and I have read about it before. Like I said, all medications have risks, even birth control pills, which are widely taken, have risks of stroke or death. It's the chance you take whenever using any kind of drug. I'm aware of the side effects, but I still choose to take the pills, as many others do as well.
Ask your doctors how long they think you will be on them. If they are truthful they will tell you that you will be on them for life as your condition is lifelong. Don't believe them!
Do some research and you will be upset at how you have been misled.
Do you thin im bipolar. cause i have so many symptoms. when im manic i am extremely hyper/happy but yet irrated, angry, or frustrated, i can never concentrate espically in school, i have so many racing thoughts that i cant even calm it down, i talk really fast, i never sleep, after a while i feel really happy but yet depressed inside, i have poor judgement like i buy the most stupidest things ever for no reason, i feel like im #1 of the world and over hope, and when im depressed you know thanks
@chitos95 Sounds like a lot of the symptoms of bipolar to me. If it is bothering you, you should contact a professional counselor or psychiatrist and talk to them about what is going on. Good luck to you.
You are a lovely person. It is a shame you are on those meds as they are dangerous especially over time . Read the side effects on Eli Lilly's webpage.
Try to find another way. Meds are not the answer. They slowly poison you.
@wepul I know all medication has side effects, whether it is heart meds, blood pressure meds or meds for mental illness. I do believe in meds for mental illness, would I want to take them for 50 years? Probably not. But for now, I am happy on them.
You seem like a really lovely person, hope you keep well. Wish I'd persevered with olanazapine eight years ago as it's supposed to be the most effective, but no I was a bit too narcissistic to tolerate a bit of weight gain. All the best, Rob
wow it sounds like you have been pretty stable for quite a while!!!! it helps to know someone has actually been stable! I have been spinning out of control for the better part of the last four years!!! (which feels like an eternity...although I suppose...it is not.) -good job on the house projects !!
@monicanietzsche Yes, it's a miracle I have gotten stable, as long as I have been dealing with bipolar, which is the bulk of my life. I hope you're able to find some stability as well.
S.hippi is right.with meds its been proven that u don't loose any life. U loose 9yrs average by not taking them. Basically the meds are the total cure.
@stillhippie I don't think it will ever truly come to an end...but maybe I can hope? LOL I find it hard to believe I will stay on meds for the next 50 years...that's kind of unfathomable.
congratulations on becoming homeowners, i wish you the best of luck. zyprexa worked well but i was on maximum dose and gained weight, so i had to stop it, i'm glad it's working for you. it' was nice to see you again...
@IChoseTheRedPill Thank you, I know it is crazy how different meds affect different people, one may work so well for one person and not at all for another. But I'm glad I found something that works, and that I am stable now.
