I think your awesome because your not afraid to say how much all your puzzles are in the comments. A lot of people that sell things on youtube don't do that because their scare of what people will think. With you, it is what it is and I think your amazing for it. =)
people stop asking this guy for lower prices it's like going to a apple retailer and ask if you could buy the iphone 4s for lower prices and believe i tried that **** before
iPhones are incredibly cheap to make and are designed to make high profit. 3D printing is costly and I'd say it's safe to assume that Oskar probably earns more from personally assembling and stickering it than just shipping the pieces alone.
I can see why both would refuse to budge, but I'm assuming for Oskar it's less about profit and more about the cost of creation.
I looks absolutely deadly to solve. I'm looking forward to buying some of your inventions sometime - ones which are available on the market of course.
Totally isn't worth 400$. This may be extremely unique or whatever you're going to feed me with, but I'm pretty sure almost no people would be interested in it. In addition, I dislike the way you commented on cnlferner's comment, as it was merely pointing out the you're prices are too big, whereas you reply with an impertinent answer of saying he fails to understand how awesome your products actually are.
@Rasmus0909 Thank you for your well argued comment. Value is in the eyes of the beholder. I consider myself fortunate to have some customers who are willing to buy my prototypes, despite the fact that I am unable to produce single prototypes at mass-production cost. I hope to achieve your price point some day ...
@Rasmus0909 If a carpenter charges me $100 to make a table I designed, I'm not going to sell it to you for $50, am I? No. Because If I did that I may as well have just given the carpenter $50 to give you a table. Ya dig?
... Think of it this way... His carpenter charges a lot.
@Rasmus0909 think about the gigaminx,a mass producted puzzle, cost arround 80$,this is much more unique and nonmassproducted,i think it worth the price,i won't buy ,but i think it worth,in my opinion of course :D
@Kragalar he designs them on a 3D cad program on the computer, where he designs all the pieces of the puzzle, the files are then saved and uploaded to the site Shape Ways. Shape ways then print out each of these pieces in a 3D printer, the pieces are then shipped to Oskar, where he dyes them, and stickers them.
@OskarPuzzel One day I will save for one of your beautiful puzzels, I'm a big fan of your work! and I wish people would read a little before they complaine about the price.
@yoyomaster223 I could be wrong, but seeing as it's on Shaepways, I think maybe the price is decided by them based on the amount of mass and parts used in the item. Their prices get kind of nuts sometimes, unfortunately.
@OskarPuzzle im sorry i was tierd that night, i couldnt get to sleep. i half to admit that is a pretty cool cube. i understand why it costs so much. you are pretty crazy, as a comment, because u make some really cool cubes! question, did you make lots of them or did you make few prototypes? sorry=(
I think this is my favorite puzzle of yours. its like a traditional cube if you want to ignore thelines, or a 5x5 if you want to acknowledge them. that's cool! excellent for a steam punkmmovie or something haha
@kstringer24 Someone may come up with a way to do that some day.. but for now theres no way of doing it without pieces falling off. Just like how They used to think you couldnt make anything bigger than a 5x5x5, but now theres a 17x17x17!!!
Is this really a geared 5x5? Consider that on a regular 5x5 you have 5 layers in any direction to turn freely. However, this cube only has 3 as the 2 gear layers are dependent on the 2 adjacent layers. Don't you think this would be more appropriate as a geared 3x3 since you only have 3 layers to turn?
Hey, i like this one :) will you be making a geared 5x5 that you can turn 90 degrees? its just, you managed to do it with the original geared cube :). just wondering.
I reckon you might be able to combine every one of Oskar's geared puzzles in existence and it would make something that you could use to take over the world with.. Great job (:
I think your awesome because your not afraid to say how much all your puzzles are in the comments. A lot of people that sell things on youtube don't do that because their scare of what people will think. With you, it is what it is and I think your amazing for it. =)
