Harpy is the strongest killing bird, don't know if the African owl can bench press more than the harpy but the harpy would win at eveything else the thing is awesome and I am a falconer myself Gota love the harpy dude
And it can crush a humans skull with it's talons and thats why there is so little footage of nesting mother harpys...best one I saw the guy was from uk and he wor riot gear and helmet and still got struck!!!nasty but beautiful birds
Actually like all other birds of prey this eagle can only lift about half of its own body weight. The exception to this is the great horned owl which can lift 2-3 times its own weight.
@MrFuckyoumannn Actually buddy....The Harpy Eagle can lift more than 3/4 its own body weight. It's primary diet consists of sloths monkeys and capybaras. It is the strongest eagle and largest eagle in the Americas.
Harpy is probably thinking: why do they have to feed me this old meat when they could just let me out to snatch all those little annoying things that walk around on two legs!
@DORUKOZKAN I agree. If you make a movie about Eagles, Harpy are the villain, American bold eagles are the knight/general of the army, Philippine Monkey Eating Eagle looks like the king.
give me a break. You put this ZOO experience on YouTube? It shows nothing of value to others. You saw a Monkey Eagle IN A CAGE, and I did not/. Ohhhhh, I am such a loser and you are so great. Get a brain and get this nonsense off YouTube.
@bloodieduckies In reply to: "I bet its thinking,.. "If I was a little bigger I'd kill all you motherf&^$%s!!" ...except unlike humans it would eat everything that it caught...until it wasn't hungry anymore...Thanks for watching and commenting!
@bloodieduckies well it could if it wanted to there are myths of them snatching little kids from the ground, there strong enough to carry a full grown two toed sloth so they could have the potential to snatch a small child, infact the harpy eagle is probly looking at that kid and thinking dam if i wasnt in this cage!
@theswatmaster500 I recommend to study zoology or any eagle book, or keep looking videos of what an eagle can eat. you are obvious just an ignorant about eagles.
Harpy eagles are pretty. I bet the area around their necks and head with all the fluffy feathers feels nice to touch ( it already does on my pet budgie and he's not as fluffy ;) )
@theswatmaster500 I once saw a video of one of these horrid motherfuckers snatch a tree sloth (which is easily as big as a monkey) off a tree. It then carried back to it's aerie and ripped it apart and ate it alive.
So as the Philippine eagle taking carry-off a large male Macaque weighing 7-9 kg, a deer and large snakes like other large eagles Golden eagles taking a mountain goat, white-taild eagles taking a lamb and Crowned eagles known to take prey such as monkeys and dulkiers large eagles can do the same.
