honestly i do not know how much i have spent in total...i started about 6 years ago and have kept every piece i bought and continued to buy more and more each year. each 8ft 2x4 is about $2 tho i prob have $200 worth of 2x4s lol
thank you again for you kind words....one type of room i didnt have this year but had the year before was a long pitch black dark hallway.....i had black plastic strips hanging from the ceiling to hit people in the face....bubble wrap taped to the floor with a bunch of dixie cups scattered around for people to step on
i also had metal hangers straightened out with black electrical tape wrapped around it secured on the bottom framework so it would hit people's legs as they walked throught the hallway....at the end of it i had a person in a black cloak to scare them .....other room ideas.....a morgue, dracula/vampire room, a room with spiders snakes and insect stuff
the amount of time itll take to build one like this depends on the amount of people helping...for construction of framework and putting up the walling i had 3 people helping it took about maybe 6 hours....the actual deco took about 12 hours. i have been buying little by little each year over the past 6 years....overall my collection of halloween stuff if prob valued over $2000..if your really interested just build up your collection every year and itll get better and better
iv alway wanted ot make a cool haunted ouse for halloween but the lcosest iv evr been to that is just pop out wen the get their candy with a fake chainsaw!!! =(
keep at it dude, it's a good start and every year will get better. Check out my horror vids, I just completed my 4th haunt and it was a blast. Feel free to ask questions or ask for pointers

where do you get the rotating red beacon light. i cant find one anywhere. do you use fog machines in your haunted house?
trucklover9 3 years ago
i found mine at walmart. they sell them with the lamps and party lights. I use a regular fogger as well as a ground fogger, both on timer remotes
