sorry guys should have clarified...1995 was the year this commercial was aired. I know this for a fact. Doesn't necessarily mean the car was a 1995. Might not be because this ad aired in early 1995.
I took a test drive of an ES300 and indeed I did not want to return it. I bought it the next day. :D

did the aussie es 300s keep the 3vz-fe engine , or like the american version, switch to 1mz-fe for 1994 and later?

Good question, cuz they show the older version in the commercial and I've also noticed some other pre-1995 items in this ad.
But If I had to guess, I would say they made the switch to the 1mz-fe engines in'94, just like they in the US.

Cuz the '92/93 version has a certain shape and look to it, and the 94s and up are different looking.
The 92/93s feature a series of "ridges" as u see in the video, @ 6 seconds.

@scorpioeddie84 They were a different motor than the 1MZ-FE from 1994-2002. The 92 and 93 models had an iron block Toyota truck engine.
