But occasionally the free flowing traffic is coming around a curve and is unaware that the traffic ahead is stopped or there is a stalled car and by the time they see this they can't stop. This tend to happen a lot near the 405/101 interchange. Traffic slows quickly and people slam on their breaks. I'm not sure what section of the 405 this is though.
