  • the 2006-2011 Honda Civic Hybrid was/is assembled in

    Suzuka, Mie, Japan

  • That's not Honda. That's American Wall Street Company.

  • If its a piece of crap or shit, how come people buy it? I see alot of Honda Civic Hybids more than any other cars. If you think its ugly, thats on you. If u think its a bad car, just don't say anything because you are driving people crazy and who cares if you say its ugly?

  • @peanutchopper you could probably never afford it.

  • good car and i like it's feature and body style.

  • they wan to save more gas wow come on the normal honda is only the 1.8 with 30 dollar you can full your tank!!!

  • thts in irvine, Ca there in and they are driving on technology drive

  • I like this car. I had to use it during my driving lessons and road test. Comfortable, good handling, clean and nice to drive. id get it but insurance and lease is ridicolous unless u have a full pledged job. although when u stop the car the weird vroom feeling is kinda annoying

  • what is the hp?

  • nvm

  • Do they all come with the navigation thing?

  • There is nothing weird about civic hybrid except pie plate weels. It looks actually more sportier than civic si. It's much lower, roof antenna, side mirror turn markers. I love driving my 08 CH

  • Why do hybrids have to look so weird?

  • @kingfarticus - Aerodynamic reasons

@arjansammani - Have you seen American cartoons? 3-4 fingers are not good

  • Except for the wheels, the hybrid looks exactly the same as the regular civic

  • @mavadd88

ah, but it's those grotesque wheels that make all the difference!

  • @mavadd88 umm hello, it has the indicators on the mirrors and the antena is different, and it comes with 2 tone interiors which normals dont have, and its not only about the looks, its still a hybrid...

  • @mavadd88 Well, the point of a hybrid is not to look different, it is to save gas... Very dumb statement from your side. Also, the antenna, side mirrors, and hybrid badge also differ it from the regular civic.

  • @yellowmusicfreak Your not old fashion, your just American.

  • Man, I want the turn signal mirrors and the headlights on my 08 FA5.

Also, I'm wondering if the spoiler from the hybrid will cover up all the holes in the Si sedan?

  • @Superchickenman159 fuck em.

  • wow 49m/g!!

  • it's too bad it doesn't have a sun roof

  • Could one be added? I know some cars that you get with out sunroofs, the dealership will offer to put one if for about $1,000.

  • At 4:28, the narrator talks about an "electric only mode in which the vehicle will run on battery power alone in certain low-speed cruising situations." I've owned this car for for over two years and have never experienced that. Is that a feature one has to enable? Or is it something that automatically kicks in? I've never run out of gas, but I always wondered if the batteries would kick in to get me to a gas station if that were to happen. Do I have to have the cruise-control enabled?

  • interesting, I've never heard that either. i know the prius does, but i have always heard that the hondas don't have that ability.

  • When you are cruising with your foot off the accelerator the fuel injection stops and the valves stop in the closed position, meaning no fuel is being consumed. The engine will keep spinning but you are not using any gas.

  • @corey415 cool

  • top speed?

  • that is way to much to pay for a field car...the only fast honda ever made is the nsx!!!!!

  • dang, this is what I want.

  • I do have some questions for Civic Hybrid owners.

How far could you travel the furthest with a full tank of fuel without refueling? Is it possible to travel 1000 km on long trips without refueling? Thanks.

  • I've been able to do so in a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid... so I'd assume that it'd be more than possible with this new model. It's got a 50 liter tank, and 5 l/100 km is entirely doable on a regular basis. I've gotten as low as 4.2 l/100 km with my 2003.

  • Thanks for the reply :)!

  • Hybrid is a POS because yesterday we had to replace the battery in our honda Civic hybrid and it cost us $5000, the performance and handling is as bad as a Yugo and the back seat is very cramped. I'll never buy another hybrid again. another word do not buy hybrid unless you want a ticket for driving too slow.

  • I just found one for $16992 sticker at a Toyota dealership, it has 22k miles. I'm curious of the battery life, and what happens when they die. Is it true they are several thousand to replace? I really have no idea nor have I done the research.

  • For the Prius, batteries are supposed to last 10yrs and cost $1,500 to replace, or so I've been told. I wonder how worth buying a hybrid really is. Let's think about it for a minute. You'll have to pay thousands more for a hybrid over a comparable size gas car. It would take so many years of gas usage to make up the difference in price. I personally don't think hybrids are worth the extra cost of buying just yet. Prices need to come way down.

  • also look into the entire manufacturing process of a hybrid, including the steps required to produce the battery

  • agreed

  • good deal any more where those came from?

  • 30 or 40 for city mileage? I'm averaging 54 in the city and 62 highway. Great car.

  • awesome car!

  • the 5 seather INSIGHT is around $19K

thats why there is no way GMs volt can compete

  • well but you make quite same/if not better economy from let's say wrangler. that makes sense to me. having such a superb off road with such a great engine cost money (wrangelr has some 300 bhp - civic has only some 110 - with same economy!!!).

  • I just saw a good deal on a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid at Winter Honda (if you're living in the Bay Area)... they had a special going at just over $24K... I thought that was a pretty sweet deal for a car that gets 40 MPG City/ 45 MPG highway!

  • WTF? are you from Pittsburgh? I live in the same friggin area LOL!

  • I'm in to Minidiscs not Ipods or take cds in the car. So how do I get my MD reciever installed?

  • chadergeist: you can just connect the audio jack via aux and it should work
