Good video but I think it is a bit ignorant and in poor taste to say hitchhikers are all psychopaths nowadays. Joking or not, please dont make such generalizations. Thanks for the video though.
As well as this from Allen Ginsberg's Howl: I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix"
Yeah, but you got to remember new generations come this this literature everyday and its new to them...if you poo poo this, you are in a way no better than these University English lit professors that still refuse to acknowledge The beat generation through snobbery, snobbery is the death of creativity!!
Great piece---relevant, interesting information with a filming of the landscape that flows like kerouac prose. I'll check out your other stuff too. Way to go.
I think Kerouac had a real good sense of humor, and would have got a kick out of Beat condos going for sky high prices. He'd be real zen about it, and maybe ask about time shares for squares.
There is no zen at all about that. To market his name for lofts is a bit disrespectful. I do not think he would dig it all. Unless he was alive and endorsed it. Which I am sure he would not. Unless also if he needed the money. It is all very sad!
Great video! I live in Denver and have always wanted to retrace his footsteps around town. There is just something about Denver and how it personifies "The American West"
Yeah those lofts are bull. Kerouac would never want something like that. I hope to God that the Kerouac estate did not allow this. $300,000? Kerouac would curse that as Jesus cursed the temples.
I am pretty sure the Kerouac Estate had to give permission. The realtor who showed us the place didn't seem to know much about why the name was chosen. Thank for watching!

When I die, I certainly hope people don't assume how I would feel about things.

His estate (the Sampas') probably sold his name for use...the only thing to laff at is yuppies spending 400k to look down on railroad tracks

Hi! I thought this video was really great. Like, Conner, I'm kind of jealous. But it was definitely awesome.

Hey Mr. Lamb,
This is a really cool video. I am slightly envious of you, Augustine, Barzegar, and Rosenthal. But still, a really cool video.

Cool stuff. Check out Finding Jack Kerouac-Not as gritty as real beat stuff but cool nonetheless

Did the Kerouac Estate give those people the rights to use his name? That makes me sick.
