Ask FIFA, they will tell you it was a Full Team. if Donovan, Dempsey, Altridore, Bradley, Howard, Bocanegra and Confeds team didnt wanna play the Gold cup, its there problem, but no matter what, its a FULL A TEAM when its tournaments. Mexico had a B team then also cuz half the players on the squad didnt even go to the World cup.

Eh, for right now he is. But Sean Johnson is a good goalkeeper. hes young and talented. There is also the U-17 Goalkeeper, I forget his name, but if you havent checked out the U.S U17 games, check them out, we got some good young prospects coming up. I also believe Troy Perkins is a good prospect for us, although he is 29 years old right now.

I really don't know how Casey missed that, I think he tried to do too much with an open shot. Game would have gone differently if he had buried it in the back on the net especially since it was the 9th minute as everyone was lifting their #9 signs

They play a more attacking style, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you play. Here, they've got a 3-5-2, so they're hoping to come out fast, hard and get enough goals to last them until the end. The USA play a style in which they're looking to have a back four that plays well against possession holders and an offense that knows how to hold possession.. This method worked against Spain. Costa Rica tried to overload the USA and they got too tired doing so.

I dont think that the usa was so happy about tying with CR..they had won the group leaving mexico in2nd place and sending CR to a game against uruguay..good for honduras who qualified directly and had beaten ES in San Salvador..cR thought that they already had a spot when they ended the first leg of the round atop the standings and talked about how they are the best in the concacaf and now they will be watching the WC on TV..As For ES i have great hopes for them in the future. a big turnaround..

I'm interested to know how USA fans rate their chances in South Africa. They were incredible at the Confederations Cup, amazingly, nearly winning it. Personally, I'm an England fan and I'm not too optimistic, though Capello has re-vitalised us. Our friendly v Brazil will be a real test to see where we are.

The United States shows incredible fighting spirit. we are truly the best team in CONCACAF! in 7 out of our 10 games, the united States was behind at one point or another. only 2 of which we lost. thats right! 5 times the USA was trailing! we came from two goals down to draw El Salavador and CR and then stole wins from El Salvador and Honduras (TWICE)! see you in South Africa 2010! Luckily for the rest of the world, we arent that serious but we do a dang good job for what we utilize and play on a highly competitive level.

I hope the other countries realize that if soccer were our primary sport, we'd have players with the likes of other american athletes like: michael jordan, lebron james, kobe bryant, just to name a few.
