my problem isnt that minecraft lags (it gets 120 fps on all settings as on and on fancy) but it lags my other programs WHILE it runs. wen i run minecraft my yutube videos get 2/3 fps compared to the normal 30 fps and my web browser (google chrome) takes about 5/10 seconds to open a tab, compared to instantly when minecraft ISNT running. idk how to fix this but it happens on every pc i have, including and i7 and gtx 590 (which shouldnt happen)

Altough the graphics "sucks", Minecraft requires a massive amount of processor, so If your video card is fucking awesome and you only got a pentium 4, the game will suck. I get 89 fps in minecraft with a shitty video card, but my pc have a AMD X6 1055T with 2.8 GHz. ;)

@MINECRAFTdotNET actually optimine doesn't really work with fraps because optimine itself just increases fps by simplifying chunk updates etc. in the game. this doesn't actually take any load off of you cpu which is what fraps heavily relies on. this isn't to say the mod doesn't work. It does it works tremendously, i know because ive used it for a long time but ive also tested it with recording and there is no visual difference when recording.

i didnt notice a big difference when i tried it. i know that the older copies of fraps wasnt optimized for minecraft and it used more cpu... so maybe buy fraps or find a copy of a newer version.

The best way to reduce lag is to go to C:\ Windows Then delete System32. Reset your Computer then presto less lag on ANY PC game not just Minecraft <:]

(1) Use optifine -Check

(2) Use simple craft

(3) Ctrl + Alt + Delete, processes, java *32, priority high

(4) Dont build rediculiously large things

(5) consider getting more ram and a multicore processer
