I've had strepp about four to five times this yr and I just got diagnosed with adenovirus and my tonsils are also swollen. My mom wants to take me to the ENT to get my tonsils removed after xmas but I'm scared they won't do it. I've already missed 37 days this school yr I'm sick alllll the time. Do you think I can get them out?
Hey people I have a serious question. I've been had tonsillitis since Christmas, and i just got over VIRAL PHARYNGITIS. I just want to know is pharyngitis is a symptom of tonsillitis?

@330702valerie It helps gargling hot salt water. That dulls the pain. And i got it to go away with pennicilin-pills i got from the doctor. Gawd i hated that period. But trust me, if you follow this it will go away ;D

I'm on day five after having my tonsilectomy and since midnight last night I've been in the WORST pain of my life. Everything hurts from my throat to my jaw to my ears! I usually get sick 2-3 times a month! (Its rare when I'm not sick) and it almost ALWAYS starts with my tonsils getting swollen and then turns into a sinus infection. This surgery is my last resort I really hope it is the miracle I'm told it to be!
I had my tonsils removed about 10 years ago when I was 7. I constantly got strep throat and was sick all the time. After removal, I got to eat ice cream and other soft foods for about 2 weeks and everything was fine. I've never had a sore throat ever since, until yesterday. Lol!
if ur throat really hurt get honey, put it on a spoon, dip it in hot water then just eat it.. my friend told me to try it. i never really thought it would work but it did xP
idk fuckin understand that shit, my doc said " there alittle red" but really they were leaking too, and it tasted awful!" anyways i dont know how much i cantrust a doc if they cant even see your tonsils are at war.

I recently had an infection tho mine was much worse completely covered with puss and sore as hell. You'll be fine.
Ever think of tonsil removal? This will nevr happen if yu remove them but then again damn insurance lol
