@CuteKittens567 Clip Extractor doesn't make them protected. Try closing the player you opened it with before deliting. It has to do with your settings or check your SD card for a protection switch.

Also the button may be not active. Right click on the toolbar -> Customize -> Drag the Clip Extractor icon from the list of inactive items to the Toolbar list.
