  • Jesus take the Wheel

  • Hope this asshole is gone along with that idiot mcconnell..two useless s.o.b

  • First he says "We have to deal with this in a responsible way."

Followed by "The idea that CO2 is a carcinogen, that it's harmful to our environment is almost comical."

Since when is making shit up being responsible. No scientist calls CO2 a carcinogen. He's Speaker of the House and yet clearly doesn't feel any obligation to get his facts straight. He's a ventriloquist's dummy with a coal/oil executive's arm up his ass. Amazing, for a head made of wood, he looks almost real.

  • Wonder if Boehner would wear a CO2 mask if its so good.

  • We don't want to raise taxes and we are afraid we may lose jobs. They don't want to regulate carbon. The GOP does not want to really do anything

  • To call John Boehner an idiotic fool is an insult to all idiotic fools everywhere.

  • From the looks from these responses many people believe that CO2 is a harmless gas that doesn't do any harm. CO2 provides food for plant and ocean life but large amounts of CO2 can disrupt the cycle of carbon intake and oxygen output. In resulting dying plant and plantain life. Not all CO2 emission are absorbed by plants and ocean life, the residual CO2 goes to the atmosphere and trap heat. Which creates severe weather patterns! (basic science people)!!!

  • @Bomyster3000 said "From the looks from these responses many people believe that CO2 is a harmless gas that doesn't do any harm."

    Agree 100%.

Oxygen is similar in that we humans need about 18-20% of it in the gas we breath, but 100% oxygen would be poisonous to us (not to say an incredible fire hazard).

  • @moosesteak7

I see you like George Carlin.

This is a good one from him:

    watch?v=BB0aFPXr4n4

  • Who said anthing about CO2 being carcinogenic? Christ, anyone that listens to what assholes like Bohner really must be ignorant.

  • HERE Stephanapoulos is the ignorant one! He is just parroting the politically correct B.S.

CO2 has nothing to do with climate change! It has to do with photosynthesis!

Without CO2 we would all die!

George needs to check out Piers Corbyn!

  • @judomagyar You are so full of shit it's not funny. Concensus of the foremost climate scientists is that CO2 is a major contributor--but YOU know better. You're a cheerleeder for stuidity your comment a harbinger of our demise. You'd prefer to rely on some soundbite you heard from Fox News, big oil funded media outlets or some right-wing pundit to form your scientific opinions. Direct me to your scientific publications--or STFU.

  • @moosesteak7

    1) consensus is not science.

    2) Cobryn have been, correcly forecasting cold and snowy winters in england; 6 months ahead! Is Corbyn just very lucky, or could it be that, he is right and the MET office is wrong?

    3) I don't watch Fox news.

    4) I am not right wing, I just don't see the correlation and causal relationship between the ~0.04% CO2 in the air and the global climate.

    5) See the VOSTOK ice core data! Increase in CO2 lags warming by ~800 years!

  • @judomagyar Bla bla bla. Are you a climate scientist?

  • @moosesteak7

    I am an Engineer.

I know how to look at large data sets and interpret them.

    Are you a scientist?

  • Sorry, but to me, John Boehner looks and sounds drunk. see 1:59

  • What a bunch of whining babies we have on this blog. Ugh. They make me sick.

  • He is a lovely man. He is very patriotic and has a great love for America. People open up your eyes. You have an honest God fearing man that will dedicate his life to making your life better. Do you want to live in chaos with an idiot ruling this country? Look atvthe damage that has been done already. Wake up America. Take off your blinders. You are being led like sheep. Downhill all the way.

  • Everything Boehner does is comical. He's such a stereotype.

  • what a dumbass

  • This why why America cannot have nice things.

    Canada

  • Is this fucking satire?

  • climate change or not, boner is an idiot. cows emit mathane, and no one says co2 causes cancer that is comical

  • Sounds exactly like Palin! Every time a legitimate questions is asked, he first completely messes up his facts trying to show that he knows something on the matter, then starts rambling about how it's all about keeping the taxes low, and american jobs in america. Pathetic.

  • Science is never 'sure' of anything. Every theory and explanation should be disagreed with and tested to the breaking point. That's not a sign that we can't 'trust' the science; it is in fact the opposite. If we do not act based on the best theory currently available, what the hell is driving our decisions?

  • How could anyone vote for this orange bullshitter. He is everything that is wrong with politics in America. You're talking about my country. It's not a fucking game, asshole.

  • @slotstik With this new carbon tax your "country" will cease to exist. Why? Because that global carbon tax will effectively bankrupt any and all viable sources of energy in this country. The technology "so they say" is not there to power this country any other way besides coal. That is unless we go nuclear.

  • *sigh*

    we're boned

  • this guy absolutley looks hammered.....he looked drunk at the Health Care roundtables as well...I think this dude is an over opinionated lush. Look at him...baffled...licking his lips....burping....

this dude is hitting Miller Time...all the time.

  • Boehner looks drunk as a skunk. He nearly puked at 1:59.

  • It's clear to me that Mr. Boehner has great judgment in many issues, in my view he could be a great president of our country

  • The Republican plan to deal with Climate change.

    Stonewall.

Just say "NO" to any plan.

Strangle, but this is convincing to Christian Conservatives.

  • So you dont believe that greenhouse gases are a problem in creating climate change?

    ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!! MINDCONTROLLED RETARD!!!!!!!

  • I wonder when the last time was that this guy took a science class, and what grade he got. What a fucking moron.

  • No Sir - he is educated!

  • Another Ignorant Republican, they are everywhere. It is not CO2 what the cows produced but methane. Do they have Discovery Channel. They need to upgrated their Time Warner cable Package

  • You're an absolute Dumbass - Methane in the atmosphere is less than 2 ppm (that's oparts per million) The man made climate change is ONE HUGE MASSIVE SCAM!!! This guy is bob on - CO2 actually imcreases plant production - so by decreasing CO2 content you are actually producing less food - so you are actually ANTI HUMANITY!!!!

    He is exactly right

  • You are totally missing the point here. Plants process C02 into oxigen, but they only process certain amount of co2. Volcanos produce CH4 (Methane) and humans and animals produce CO2, yes the plans are very good in processing those green house gases but when you add BILLION OF TONS OF CO2 TO THE ecuation plants don't process most of it. PLEASE READ A SCIENCE BOOK and stop watching GLENN BECK>

  • Funny I AM MISSING THE POINT???

Firstly I am English and don't watch SHITE on the television. Secondly I am a Petroleum Geologist - so I beat you hands down on this topic. What do you want to contest - BILLIONS OF TONS OF CO2? WTF - where did you grab that figure from - the cretaceous fossil record. Do you actually know how much CO2 humans produce? 15 ppm (parts per million) Methane is less than 2 ppm. You just don't get it - IT IS A FUCKING SCAM TO GET DUMBASSES TO PAY TAX!!!

  • Good a Petroleum Geologist you should know more than you do. Again you are asking me, how much C02 Human produce? CO2 produced by human is not the problem. Emissions of CO2 by human activities(Burning coal etc) are currently more than 130 times greater than the quantity emitted by volcanoes, amounting to about 27 billion tonnes per year. Don't take my word for it, this come fromthe U.S. Geological Survey.

  • CO2 emitted from Volcanoes can never be measured. Anyway I am sick of the CO2 debacle! CO2 is one of the breeding blocks of life! More CO2 means plant life thrives - You guys look pretty dumb now - after the climategate scandal hey!

  • so is water, doesn't mean that too much of it can't kill you.

  • At last someone who knows it is a scam. Well played sir - you can read between the lines - bravo. Unlike vitin6039 who still believes in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy. He belives Al Gore and the politicians.

  • Thanks Chumbawomba, man-induced CO2 is only 15ppm as you correctly stated. If does effect climate change, its effect is almost negligible. And I agree AGW is a scam. Vitin6039 has not clue what he is say.

  • @chumbawomba Republicans are dishing out garbage science to which you obviously subscribe. You must have studied from catholic school books. 2+2=Jesus, and the world is 100 years old and made of god's toe jam? Is that right?

Back in the day if you said the world was round, the church would burn you at the stake. The truth would come out eventually, but it would be too late for you, and civilization lost decades of progress. Republicans are essentially doing the same thing.

  • @harlyd007

Such an astute analysis. How many of those "30,000" scientists are climatologists?

  • @eXcommunicate1979

How many of the IPCC "scientists" are climatologists?

CO2 has nothing to do with climate change! It has to do with photosynthesis!

Without CO2 we would all die!

  • Hey!

    What is this?

A member of the GOP, the minority leader in fact, without an original idea?

    However, one is coming!

Constructive criticism isn't just about bitching on and on about the other. A logical response is apart of the argument as well. Or should be.

Until these guys get their act together and come up with alternative solutions to real life problems, they will continue to twist in the wind and alienate themselves from the young and educated voters.

  • You've just identified yourself as an uneducated young person.

Per your logic it would be advisable to pass healthcare as is despite covering 13 million fewer people (at best) and incurring 1.6 trillion in new taxes over 10 years. Quality of life actually drops for 90+% of Americans if this healthcare (popular House bill) is passed but you don't listen to conservatives' like DeMint of SC because you watch Mainstream Media exclusively. Wake up! You're so elite. Puhleeze

  • Re: Kingsdun

  • Oh, and by the way,

"Quality of life actually drops for 90+% of Americans"

How about, in honor of the American Soldier, Ya quit making things up. ; )

  • How the hell did you get all that from my comment of 3 months ago?

Not only does the GOP still not have a plan ready, they have folded on putting one out at all.

The party of NO is all they have been stripped down to.

By all means, please explain the counter proposal to anything. You can't. They have no response but 'NO'. Even what they want is negotiated in, the vote is 'NO'.

I challenge you to name a conservative policy turn law from the last admin. that was socially constructive.

  • Georgie you need to do further research on carbon admissions. Scientists can not even agree if global warming is true. Some scientists are saying this is a global cooling. not warming. So, there is no quantitive evidence of global warming Georgie!!!!!

  • Having a phd in any given topic doesn't make an individual qualified to make intelligent statements on something completely outside of their field.

If you hear a phd saying global warming is not occurring, check exactly in what subject he holds a phd, don't simply accept an argument from authority.

Also, read up on radiative forcing of climate change you can find it on the AAAS website from the national research council, that'll clear up many of your misconceptions about climate change.

  • why dont you go look at all the planets are warming, NOT just earth, i guess they have to many cows to ah?

  • If we observe warming on another planet that doesn't automatically invalidates all observations made on this planet.

Decades worth of data shows a warming trend on earth. We've had a weather satellite orbiting mars not even one decade. We have no concept of the climate particulars of that planet yet and no way of determining whether or not the warming there is abnormal.

If you want an example of runaway greenhouse effect, observe Venus.

  • lol where do you get your information? The planet has actually been cooling but that really means nothing, the planet was cooling and warming long before we came here and it will continue to cool and warm long after we are gone.

  • Last Dinosaur Age 3,000ppm today 389ppm up from a supposed 289ppm which we didn't accurately measure back then! It was 7,000ppm when life supposedly exploded on earth. Now there saying that c02 is high well I think quite the opposite and say it is low. Lets talk Oxygen, it was 30% now it is 20%, it is low. Plants breathe c02 and make oxygen the more c02 in ppm the more plants grow and create more oxygen plants prefer 1500ppm.

Another theory is higher pressure in past IE: more oxygen and c02

  • denial, denial... your ears should be burning!

  • Global warming is a farce. Democrats can prove me wrong by all holding their breath and we'll all see if the temperature goes down after 10 minutes.

  • This guy is the poster child for why science needs to be better taught in schools. He really thinks that cows fart carbon dioxide?!?!? This idiot is a leader in the republican party? ugh.

  • By science you meant the propaganda that they want you to know about right and believe? Like the law of thermodynamics that planets orbits as well as electron orbits clearly show us is false, i have also doubled my fuel mileage that clearly shows me the law of thermodynamics is false as well, do you believe all the lies science teaches you? And by the way if you believe there lies about global warming you should go look at all the planets around us are warming up as well.

  • The orbit of planets isn't remotely similar to the movement of electrons. The atomic force is completely different from the gravitational force. Electron orbits are determined by mathematical function that describes the wave-like behavior they demonstrate, and even that has a good deal of uncertainty. They almost never follow a path similar to planets, and absolutely none of this is in any way falsified by thermodynamics.

  • Electrons do not go to the nucleus right? This is called the wave function of the nucleus.I don't want to hear quotes from text books unless you can think for yourself. Now lets look at orbits shall we? We are told objects in motion tend to stay in motion right?UNLUSS another force is at work on them, does gravity ring any bells for you? The moon can NOT remain in our orbit for4.5 billion years unless another force is at work on it, check out strepultion if you want to learn about that other force

  • OMG - where did you learn physics?

There are 4 forces in the known universe! Gravity - Electromagnetism, Strong & Weak Nuclear. Go shove your head in the toilet - flush it a few times and then start again from scratch!!! LMAO - you must be either young or some trailer trash watching late night discovery science. READ books!

  • I know more about physics than you will ever know. There are four known forces that you are tough about. The moon can not maintain it's orbit for 4.5 billion years with just gravity involved, in fact there would be no orbits, no spiraling galaxies, and no flat galaxies without a repulsing and attracting force, look up strepulsion for the truth.

  • It is actually methane and is a far worse greenhouse gas than co2 according to the same scientists

  • WOW. sickening. shocking. stupidity.

  • This is great. Thanks for posting it.
