I read the article. My heart goes out to you as I went through this. The system doesn't work. My children are now adults. I thought it was just my daughter but learned recently that my 20 year old son told a friend of his that he also was abused by his father. I still feel such guilt and sadness at my inability to protect my kids. I was persecuted - accused of parental alienation, munchausen, etc. The sad truth is - they don't care unless a child is bleeding vaginally/anally.

This breaks my heart. Protective Parents lose their children for trying to protect them for the obvious. A parent who is unable to get help will record their child such as in this case out of desperation because the child trusts the protective parent - and may not talk to others. This sick system punishes the protective parent for doing the recording and gives custody to the perpetrator. It is a sick sick system. Not enough room here to tell my story...but I can relate.
