@captaingoatbeard7 Thanks so much for the kind words. A while back, I was reading an article in Guitar Player about Joni Michel and her tunings she uses and this was one of them. It does have a pleasant open feel middle tone and this tuning has opened the door to many musical ideas on the guitar. Thanks Joni :-)
@Foxcrik Cool! Yeah I found CGCFCE through the music of Nick Drake. After the immediate "I sound like Nick Drake" reaction, I've found and am still finding chords and tones I didn't know existed. Happy playing and happy holiday's!
Thanks for the kind words for sure. That guitar is a Jasmine S-35 strung with D'Adario EJ-16's. 2 mics were used for the recording.. a MXL 992 close to the neck, and a Nady CM90 pointed at the soundhole from 3 feet away. Thanks again...;-)
Cool stuff! I play a similar tuning. Just the D to a C. But I like that open-feel middle tone.
