Yes--I think the tennis ball is going to be very helpful. I thad thought of this before, but was glad to actually see this presented. A few years back when I was having an unrelated SIJoint problem the Physical Therapist had me use tennis balls for my back area---they really work well in applying pressure and enabling the muscles to relax. So good ideas here!
Yes--when I tried doing it on the wood floor the ball kept shooting off like a rocket ;-) . Thankfully I have a few places with throw rugs that work. Thanks--this is a helpful video for those of us with problem feet. Joggin and walking both cause problems for a foot I had surgery on 40 years ago!! WOW! So this massage stuff is something I have been looking for!!
I've been using this video to massage my feet for the last few months and it has relieved one foot of a neuroma and has ended foot cramps I used to experience while swimming. Tennis ball foot massage turns out to be far more therapeutic than I would have guessed.
Yes a carpet or rug is a big help. I tried it on a hard floor yesterday and it's much more challenging. Standing up on a hard wood floor is the most challenging of all. Don't try it!
I wish that was my balls!

Great video Rich,
You certainly bring the standard foot rolling to a new an exciting exercise =)
As far as the problem with Tennis ball slipping on the wooden flor, try the inexpensive high density foam myoBalls.
lightweight, washable, different densities and won't slip on slick surfaces.

Thanks. You might also try a Backnobber II massage tool for the bottoms of your feet. I like to use it for my back as well. It's available at amazon.

You definelty have to have a rug to do this; you should see what happens on a slippery wooden floor!! Yikers!
