i just wanna know that if one trains hard and learns kung fu , can kung fu actually be used during a fight like a street fight , can one use it as a real self defense or is it just in movies. PLEASE ANSWER AND HELP
There are about as many Dragon Kung Fu Systems out there as there are styles, but I like this style. It spends more time on the ground than many others, and it is reminiscent of many Tai Chi movements (of which I am a big fan). :) Well done yluckbell.
How can people criticize others in martial arts when they themselves know nothing of the person? Give positive criticisms, If you think your so great then why not give any positive advice?
Wow, excellent Long Xing Quan! This is the first time I have seen a Dragon form similar to the one in my system. The movement sequence is different, but the types of movements are the same. May I ask your specific style/lineage?
i love the people that do nothing but criticize. i guess they think everyone that post a video is suppose to be pefect. how about give positive criticism, or just post a video yourself to show the world how perfection is done. i am not a kung fu man by any means. i stick more to judo, and kickboxing, but i'm not going to just trash someone who has trained hard for years to learn something they love to do
maggot72494 this is a form. forms are like alphabets in languages. you are the one creating the words, and then sentences. and sometimes even books.
what you see here are just the basic moves, the first tools. what you see in here (well, you don't, but when you practice a martial art, you do) are hits, deflections, grabs, etc, all sorts of things.
Learning how to do that (the moves) does not prove anything by itself.
''How these forms truly help''.... if you ask this question better leave it..
0:25 aren't u suppos to spin more? really torque that waist and jump higher for higher hand time. Its not perfect infact its different from the form I've seen. I think you're suppose to kick your opposing hand so as to "check" your target 2 see how high u kick.
I am curious, how this helps defend yourself, how these forms truely help, and its history. If you could please answer my questions, I'd appreciate it greatly, this video is truely inspiring!
Well crane is mostly kicks and very high and acrobatic kicks in that might hurt the dragon style. But what cha going to do when the dragon lays its claws on you, dragon style is an upclose inside style, does insane damage when in close quarters.
Hello, where did you learn this from? Did you make it up, or did you just copy it from a film or nits and pieces from different films? Can you tell me where you learned this from? The school, teacher, name, lineage etc
You have great potential and should find a traditional instructor to teach you. Making up movements is cool in a fun way but martial arts is about being able to apply the techniques. Techniques are not just movements people make up. They come from people who were experts in traditional Chinese medicine and physiology. The movement is make to affect damage according to the natural mechanics of the body and disrupting the body's energy. You could be an awesome practitioner but learn real MS's.

Nice form, bright perspectives... A little bit more integration plus inner force and it would be mastery.
