  • Just go on facebook. Almost everybody switched over to facebook.

  • You can keep trying to unsubscribe from classmates and they still keep emailing you. When you click the unsubscribe, it says that This membership has already been unsubscribed or no longer exists on ClassMates But I keep getting emails. I will never have anything to do with them.

  • Don't join these people ever. We joined them and then had a heck of a time

cancelling. They now put our profile up there again Without our authorization.

They claim we rejoined in 2009 but we never did.

  • Classmates also routinely sends e-mails indicating that one of the recipient's classmates is looking for him/her. Allegedly, this is frequently untrue, and Classmates currently faces a lawsuit for this practice (which, if the allegation is true, constitutes fraud).

  • @Vengeance31 Yes, they are a scam

  • Controversial business practices

It is standard practice for Classmates to auto-renew memberships at the end of each billing period. In December 2006, when PC World magazine field tested several companies to determine how easy or difficult it was to cancel their service, Classmates was one of the companies that received their worst rating.

  • Classmates is a total rip off and should avoided at all costs. They have a reputation for overbilling their members, renewing memberships without consent of their members, and are facing a number of lawsuits. Just google customer complaints against classmates for further information.

  • @Vengeance31 Don't worry, people will soon know

what a rip off it is. Someone I know decided to

speak out against them and a couple more of these

sites who put up your personal info Without your

    authorization., MyLife and namesdatabase also.

  • Your so right dude! Classmates sucks! I finally went in and figured out how to turn automatic withdraw off of the 39 a year. They won't refund money once they take it! So if you have an account with them, go in and turn auto withdraw off. Then you have choice if you want to pay them. I'm stuck with an account for another year and I don't contact anyone from school. I guess I just spend the next year blogging about how much they suck. I hope it costs them more than the 39 bucks they won't refund.

  • Keep up the information!

  • thanks for that info coco
