@Suisei Read the books. Yes, there is a similarity to the actual Hunger Games and what happens in Battle Royale. I like to think of it more are 1984 with a slightly better ending. It really deals with a lot of issues in our world today, and makes a profound statement on love when it enters a society devoid of it, among many other things. It shares a similarity to Battle Royale, but in the grand scheme of things it is significantly different from it.
