  • I guess Leo doesn't like Dreamweaver :-)

  • @FrostyTheBeerMan Yea, I see a use for Dreamweaver in some places but most of the time, as he said...you want to use a CMS which makes updating a site easy. It's also nice to be able to build a website and give it over to a client and let them update it themselves over time.

My website is on Squarespace and I don't know anything other than the basics of HTML, and I was able to make a decent page design.

  • @SonicOrbStudios hey Dave, was just checking out your site, looks great. Never got into DW, I think you need a degree in "DW " before you can use it efficiently LOL. Seriously, it is not an easy program to master, far from it. I think Leo is correct in his assessment. I see you are having an issue with you DJ disks, hope they fixed this up for you and it's all OK now, a lot of $ to spend, they need to make you happy. I hope they did the right thing.

  • @SonicOrbStudios I use Dreamweaver to build my own CMS. Guy is full of it.

  • @TheAcousticBassist True you can manage a website with Dreamweaver, but it's not for the noobs of web building and such...it's quite a complex program to work with and not to mention, pricey...

For those looking to just build a basic site, things like Squarespace offer a good set of templates and graphical sliders to further customize those templates. Those who want to go further can also use HTML and CSS to do more than those sliders offer.
