My husband is currently serving in Iraq, away from his family for Christmas. He is on a 3rd tour, the other 2 in Afghan, we pray everyday for their safe return. This song says everything I feel. The holiday season is the hardest time. I miss my soldier so much! It is hard to see other families together enjoying the holidays,you feel so alone. I have 3 sons, one is in the army and has served 2-15 month tours. He is currently stateside. My second son is retired USAF. He was retired when he was shot in the head after returning from serving over seas. Mentally he is ok, but he is 100% physically disabled. He is my inspiration. My youngest son followed in his brothers footsteps and is serving in the Air force too. I'm very proud of all of them. To all our servicemen and women, I thank you for your service. I am a USMC reserve veteran, and with what is happening to my fellow armed forces brothers and sisters accross the middle east -- this put tears in my eyes.
