Well you number from Brazil, you made a little confusion to it for me.

According to me the situation is as follows and somebody correct me if necessary:

there are two types of music: zouk and kizomba

I see the difference in rythm creation:

zouk rhythm is created by percusion-like instruments and mostly big 1st and smaller 3rd and 4th and thats all.

kizomba rhythm is often made by melodic instruments like here and has greater variety in tempo (there can be really fast kizombas)

zouk music is French, kizomba is from Africa or whatever islands there

now dance:

kizomba: acrican

zouk or zouk love: french

lambazouk or brazilian zouk=lambada moves on slower, zouk music --- no kizomba music: brazilian

The thing is, that sometime it is hard to distinguish what is zouk and what kizomba music. And when DJ plays kizomba in country where they know zouk, they dance zouk.

Btw: I am from Czech republic and have no motivation to say who invented which dance or music etc.

yes, this song is actually from cape verde islands and its danced in other way (the original way). dancing kizomba with lambada steps is just unthinkable for those who make those songs, and for the people of the country where this songs come from. Lambada dancing is lambada dancing and kizomba is kizomba.

Hi...!!! I was respecting what did you say about it but I've to say that you've very traditional mentality about Kizomba in Brazil, I agree that in Brazil doing more steps but It's beautiful. You can doing many differents steps with your partner I actually that it enjoying more with this a Kizomba-Lambada. The brazilian people to putting more steps This kind of dance what did you talking about is a mix with Kizomba+Lambada= Zouk. The majority of people in Brazil says that's Zouk...
