Goodness no, this is a collective pitch for more skilled pilots. A good heli for first time pilots would be the E-Flite SR 120, the best one for a first time pilot is almost any coaxial heli, but I started with the E-Flite CX2. A better one these days is the E-FLITE MCX.
@bastion87 Thanks man, I am doing even better with my flying these days, just now starting to try inverted...that is tough. Sadly, this helicopter didn't make my cut, it broke too much and burned up motors, so I sold it as parts.
I have a G2 and have had no problems with it. I wonder why your motor locked up. I've probably put more than 40 hours of combined flight time on mine and have had no problems. It's fun to fly but I would much rather have a Genesis 450 :).
Because I am learning normal flight still; however, I have started inverted flight and once I can do it (without crashing) I will post those flights too. Thanks for viewing my videos
I assume you mean a larger size, if you fell comfortable flying the Msr, I suggest a Ninja 400 which is actually a 300 size, or a Belt CP. Both are low price and reasonably stable. I will post a flight of my Ninja in the near future
If you're asking about the G2, you'd do better to by the heli-max axe cp even though it is motor tail drive. I have three of them including the new v3, which has yet to prove itself as yet. The Exceed that I show flying didn't last long at all, motor burned up after that flight which was only about the third battery through it.
Call me Ray, sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I rate the Blade 400 high for us newbies so to speak. However, you're better off buying a Heli-Max AXE CP V3 to learn. Once you feel comfortable with that, then consider a Blade 400. I should ask, before assuming, so are you experienced?
Well, it lasted about 13 minates. But the bird itself didn't last long at all, plus there wasn't any place to put the battery. I had to modify it an place the battery under the nose. I junked the bird and used parts from it for my others. This one was a bad choice for sure. I wouldn't buy one again.
Yes and no, it is much more responsive, but basically that was the last flight of the three I got before it started failing. Stay away from it is my advise, if you look closely you will notice I had to strap the battery to the nose because the design didn't even have a place to mount the battery. I only had that bird a short while and gave up on it. Feel free to ask more questions, I have many birds including the blade 400, wasp v3 and heli-max axe cp, which is my most enjoyed heli to fly
Thanks, but that bird didn't last long, that flight was the third and final flight of its pitiful life. The motor bearing seized up when I landed that time, then, after they sent me a replacement motor, the next flight lasted about 30 seconds, then the main shaft bent and the main blades took the bird apart.
oh really and i was gonna buy that one then i looked at the rotor head very thin and unprotected then i orderd my belt cp and see what happend if you press my channel and watch belt cp or see the main video on my channel
I have a video of the belt cp too, I sold both of them to help fund my blade 400, I'll check out your video and get bact to you...good thing you didn't buy the other
Sounds like the pinion gear is too far from the motor, or the main gear is stripped out, or the motor is spinning in the wrong direction. If gears are good and the motor is meshing with the main gear, then the main gear is moving too, but in the wrong direction. Simply reverse any two of the three wires to the motor and it will reverse the direction
did u have the battery mounted on the underside ?

eh, do you recommend this as a first heli or not?
Kpilot786457 1 year ago
@Kpilot786457 you could use it but don't try any inverted things.... or use the collective pitch until you master normal flight...

Hi! Can you tell me how long does the battery holds before it needs to be charged?

what helicopter would you suggest as a good cheap begginers heli
Timthegreat2 3 years ago
I started with a coaxial, you can get some for less then 100. However, I started with the Blade CX2 which costs about 180. Have you tried any before?
rsdaskoski 3 years ago
nope i would like to learn though
it looks like fun
Timthegreat2 3 years ago
Loads of fun, but it takes a lot of time to learn, so stick with it when you decide to go forward and give it a whirl (no pun intended)

is it better then the belt cp lipo version? Thanks
