A top al-Qaida suspect held at Guantanamo Bay will be sent to New York for trial, an Obama administration official said Wednesday, a major step in President Barack Obama's plan to close the detention center by early next year. Ahmed Ghailani would be the first Guantanamo detainee brought to the U.S. and the first to face trial in a civilian criminal court.

Just because one side is Muslim and the other is Christian doesn't make one 'bad' and the other 'good.' Also, I don't think we should bash China for not helping out in Darfur, after all, how much military aid do we send to, say, Angolia? I agree that there are lots of innocent people in Africa who deserve our Aid, but as a politician, we'd be more interested in how you plan to address domestic issues, despite how significant the conflict in Darfur may be.

Compared to the issue of Iran, Darfur (Muslims killing Muslims for political power) is completely unimportant. Rep. Wolf's failure to effectively address Iran while holding his powerful position on the Appropriations Committee (including chairmanship and now ranking member of the subcommittee overseeing money to the State Dept.) reflects a gross misunderstanding of American interests.

Radio broadcasts will not stop the chief state sponsor of terrorism in the world.

Rep. Wolf's failure to do his job, while interfering with others doing their own jobs like the State Corporation Commission, demonstrates that he should no longer ineffectively represent the 10th District.
