Kathy wasn't crying because she thought the war was terrible. She was crying because she admires the sacrifices our brave soldiers have made. She is against the war, but she was doing it to support the troops. That's not out of touch, that's admirable. I wish more celebrities who support the war would support the troops the way she has. And, she has performed repeatedly for the USO in Afghanistan and Iraq (three USO tours in all).

I love her! She's always so sensitive...not to some need to be politically correct, but to the actual needs and feelings of the people who are being affected. She doesn't comment on why this war is right or wrong or this that and the other...she commented on the heroism of the soldiers, and that's truly beautiful to me. Kathy wasn't crying because she thought the war was terrible. She was crying because she admires the sacrifices our brave soldiers have made. She is against the war, but she was doing it to support the troops. That's not out of touch, that's admirable. I wish more celebrities who support the war would support the troops the way she has. And, she has performed repeatedly for the USO in Afghanistan and Iraq (three USO tours in all).
