  • 12 thousand only???

I wanted to take the BAv course at my uni but it costs 120,000Aud

  • 12 G's?! I heard it is anywhere from 5-8 max!

  • I LOVE FLYING!

  • Other Bonuses = wild sex with big cocked pilot on touchdown!

  • FAT people cant fly>>>>??? mmm why?

  • $99 for 1 hour?, Shitting hell, i pay £170 for a hour in a pa28, Damn you UK overpriced

  • 12 grand for a PPL? If you pay that much on your PPL you got jipped. Typically it is between 4 to 8 grand for a PPL and takes about 4-6 months if you average it about 1 hour lesson a week.

  • 2:44 is where my jet is going to be parked. :)

  • step 2 practice Microsoft Flight Simulator ^^

  • Why would you have to be fit to get a private piloting license? o3o

Is that so like you don't get a cramp or have a heart-attack mid flight?

    *confusion*

  • @kragier You don't really have to be 'fit', might have been that specific schools rule or something.

  • @kragier You have to pass an FAA Class 3 Flight Physical, which is basic physical you would get when you go to the doctor. You need to have 20/70 vision minimum with 20/40 vision corrected minimum (glasses or contact lenses). Not have any serious medical conditions (e.g. diabetes, heart conditions, epilepsy)

  • @RainbowManification Educated person!

Oh, then I guess I will never be a pilot. My vision is like 20/300...

Meh; thanks for the specific answer though!

  • @kragier with glasses or contacts?

  • @RainbowManification Glasses o.o

  • @kragier 20/30 right? You might be good to go.

  • @RainbowManification I usually wouldn't say this, but rofl!

    20/300 wasn't a typo. Unfortunately :\

  • @kragier I was confused, I was thinking it was probably a typo, 20/300 you would be totally blind

  • I am a pilot and another good source to get articles and videos on getting your pilots license can be found at get pilots license dot com.

  • You can get a private pilot's license in the air cadets

  • I am trying to obtain my Private pilot license by taking 1, 2 hour lesson a month. This means I would need 20 months, or a year and eight months, to accumulate the 40 hour minumum (although I'll probably go several months taking, 2 lessons a month). Is there anything wrong with getting a license over such a long span of time. I understand that it will (probably?) cost me more this way, but how much more (approximately)?

  • @zadeh79 flying is something you should be in-touch with frequently; one lesson a week is about the maximum gap you should give between lessons...there's a lot of material that's covered and it's a good habit to be familiarized often with the knowledge/behaviour of the aircraft. A lesson or two per month is too large of a gap - you'll have forgotten what your instructor has taught you in your previous lessons. Cost wise - it'll be the same either way...the prices are pay-as-you-go.

  • @zadeh79 If you think you'll be getting a license after only 40 hours, you're sadly mistaken and that's true even if you're doing the optimum schedule of 3 or 4 lessons a week where 80 hours would be closer to reality. At the rate of 2 lessons a month, you'll be lucky if you get anywhere close to having the proficiency needed for a pilot license after even a 100 hours.

The closer you space the lessons together, the more you gain from them and the less you spend ultimately.

  • There is an airport tight by me that has a pilot pilots license advertised for only $3,500. Cost of living is so much higher in California compared to here in Cleveland.

  • @misterthinkification Does this school have a website?

  • I've always wanted to be a pilot, how is the pay if I worked for example, United Airlines. I hear it's the most stressful job.

  • @Kamissick well you can make some good pay but its alot of schooling in training but if you love to fly then its not really stressful and youll love your job

  • Correction.... you dont need to be over 17 to get a license... im 17 and I am a private pilot yahoo!!!!!

  • nah, for my simulators i go on FSX> WOOP WOOP

  • "Look at all the suckers stuck in traffic!" ROFL

  • TWELVE GRAND to get your pilots license!!? WTF are they training people in, a 747? :O Depending on the rates, the average person should be able to do it for 7-8k. My flight school charges about 160/hr for plane (wet) + instructor... Average student does it in 50-60 hours (40hrs is the required minimum) so if it takes you 50hrs, that only works out to 8 grand...

  • @Mtrhd0024 plus an additional 50 dollars a lesson for instructor fee...and 50 dollars is damn good...

  • @landmark425 Nah man, I meant that the 160/hr includes the instructor and a wet airplane... For me, the plane is roughly 110/hr wet, and the instructor is 45/hr. So that comes to 155/hr. Also, think about the fact that not all of those 50 hrs will be with an instructor (i.e. solo x/c's and other solo flying) so once you factor back in books/materials, ground school, and the cost of your checkride/test, you should still be able to do a PPL for 8-9k easy!

  • holy fuck, i had my volume all the way up for another video, and this blew my ears up in the beginning

  • Hello Governor!!LOL

  • If you're a pilot, the only line you'd ever need for a hot women that is DTF is "lady, I'm a pilot" and you can get away with the cheesy grin on your face too.

  • i love airplanes and they are amazing too airline airplanes i love and airplanes dont have to deal with that traffic on the roads and dont deal with hold ups i love airplanes sincerly nadine dambra

  • 0:34 funniest noise EVER! xD

  • For free flights; join your local 'Air Training Corps'(Note 'Corps' is pronounced like 'Core') i have had 4 flights; 3 in a Grob 115 Tutor and 1Flight in the Grob 103 Vigilant.END.

  • @Link

  • what the heck? why is that guy wearing his ties like that?

  • It depends on the airline, to be honest, the airlines in America don't really pay much. But Yea, most pilots do the job because it's their passion.

  • If you are gonna pay $12,000 to get your PPL, I can charge you about $8,000 and still make a hefty profit! Any idiots with money out there? I'll rip you off for less than American Fliers!

  • @cesario7777 right here!

  • you just need to pass the test and be able to fly by yourself.. who ever pays 12000 $ to get their license is an idiot.

  • @rustychad well you need to take lessons to pass the test and have 35 hours of course. However $12,000 is defintly an extreme, more likely $8000.

  • can u hav e glasses to be a pilot?

  • @50nollieman If your glasses correct your vision to 20/20, then yes. I have glasses and I'm a private pilot.

  • @edlitz36 oh ok thx man :)

  • @50nollieman yes

  • He's so right it is 200 times more dangereous driving your car in the highway then flying in an aircraft of some sort

  • 12 grand!! I don't think so, I did mine for a little under 8 and that was on the high side.

  • 0:30 Michal Jackson

  • @indianaperry1

    Hahahahahaha thats awesome lol

  • wtf how did she get to takeoff and land if shes never flown b4???

  • @jpro747 I got to take off and land and I'm only 13 years old.

  • @jpro747

    one word BOOBS :P

  • Thanks

  • Good information well produced

    best wishes from the UK

  • I am taking flying lessons right now. I've got the flight maneuvers down pretty well, but the communications aspect is driving me CRAZY! Anyone know any good material that I can use to study proper radio communication procedures? I'm talking about what to say after Ground gives to directions to RW 16L, or what to say when your holding short of RW 16L at G3, etc. Please help, I need to be able to talk over the radio before I can solo!

  • first flight in a complex?its ok but not a usual thing

  • Do I have to wear my tie like the guy in the video in order to become a pilot?

  • In Norway it costs $ 105 every hour to get driver's license (I took 16 hours)

  • wow $99 in ireland 200e is the cheapest

  • At my local flight school at an intro flight is $60 and the average cost of a PPL is $7k. It can be done for $4-6k if you do it in less than 45 days.

  • Last time I check and demo flight as $85 and a private pilots license was around $7,000 grand

  • ummmm 12,000????????????????

thats not what the people here told me it was..

they said anywhere from 3-6 Gs... 12g thats seems like a lil much.....

and the intro flight here is only $50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the one here is 2 as much... RIP OFF!!! ha!

  • @Andrew500GT he said $1200 not $12,000 lol :)

  • @awaab1 dude the dude in the vid said 12,000... he said it 54 secs into the vid..

    im sure he said 12,000

i wish it was only 1200 lol. .if it were i would already have mine!!!

  • @Andrew500GT I wish you could realistically get your PPL for 3k or even 6k. It is possible, you're right, but... many people don't get their PPL at the bare minimum.

  • @jetfighter2011 that guys full of shit i got mine at 3,500 at clearwater international airport i fly a 172

  • $12,000 and $99 for intro! Wow Thats not that bad I thought it would cost way more

  • Does practicing on simulators help ?

  • Yes, a lot! im serious!

  • While you can't really learn to fly an actual plane using a simulator alone, once you've learned to handle a real plane, simulator time is VERY helpful.

Flying a simulator is more difficult than flying a real plane, but again, if you're really good at simulation and no experience in a real plane, then you still won't be qualified to fly the real thing. Bottom line, simulation is useful no matter what!

  • Nope

  • @ankitbhurat I'm an actual student right now learning to fly, flight simulators prior caused me to gain a lot of bad habits, but at the same time taught me a lot of good things. I'd advise against them, in the long run.

  • @jetfighter2011 like what?

  • @jetfighter2011 which sim did you mainly use?

  • $12,000! Why do they advertise at 5000?

  • @enchilada01 5000 is just the lessons. but there is a lot more paperwork and other stuff u need wich cost u more than the license itself. oh... and dont forget about rhe plane too hehehe. they can be rlllyyyy expensive, and quite insanely fuel taking (if u have a jet engine)

  • @TadeuszOlejnik wow! well that should not stop me, I guess I'll just save for a few more months, thanx!

  • @TadeuszOlejnik No kidding. I'm a student pilot right now and I've spent $900 just on books, charts, fuel sumpers, etc. I've also spent another $500 on insurance, it adds up.

  • @jetfighter2011 i got mine at 3,500 i fly a 172 skyhawk

  • @muscledude101 Are small planes safe ?

  • @enchilada01 That's the high priced slice, American Flyers is known for shoddy aircraft and coked up instructors in my home town. Don't go to them, go to a local FBO (fixed base operator) and ask them who they recommend for price and quality.

  • @AntiStalinist thanx for the info, good to know theses things! I dont want to end up like birds poop

  • @enchilada01

  • it depends how good you are if your crap like her takes longer

  • whats more nicer? an IT or a pilot ?

  • I wonder if trial flights are like this in England, because I get the feeling they aren't.

  • I've taken a few trial flights in england and i guess it depends on where you go. but I have a fair knowledge of aircraft (seeing as i've been obsessed with them since i was around 5) and they let me do everything apart from taxiing to the runway and back and I left all the radio stuff to the instructor.

  • @DominoFaz Trail flights in england kick ass! On mine i did it at Jersey, off the coast of France in a PA-28 and he was telling me to swoop down like a german bomber to bomb the bunkers XD And he let me take the aircraft off and we flew around the island! Brilliant!

  • Cool, I live near London so there's no going to France! :P

I really need to go do one now!

  • im 13 i cant either wait till im 17!

  • u dont have to be 17 to fly ... u can start flying at any age .... you cant take the test to fly wen ever till u are 17... im 16 and have solo a plane ....

  • yea thts correct im 14 and im training rite now u just gotta pace it till ur 16 for solo then pace it till 17 for test nd license. i love it. i do it 2 times a month.

  • @djedenhnjfndsj Yes!!!! Thank You! Could you please tell me if you will actually get somewhere doing it twice a month??? Please write back

    Thanks Mike.

(P.S. i want to start mine, but my finances arent the greatest)

  • how old r u? and i can tell you and answer any Q u have :)

  • yea thts correct im 14 and im training rite now u just gotta pace it till ur 16 for solo then pace it till 17 for test nd license. i love it. i do it 2 times a month. u learn and get ur leagal hours of 40 but most get 55 hours and u gotta do book work and simulator. so all tht will take the time u need till 17. nd if u finish early no big deal u can just fly for fun and rent but a instructor must be with u

  • i cant wait to be 17 im 13 shit i dont wanna wait 4 years

  • Same lol

  • Yes I understand!!!! I'm 13 too.

  • I wanna be pilot, I'm flying wit VATsim

  • shes an ediot

  • learn how to spell "idiot" first you dumbass

  • so wat its just a spelling error, its not like she`s going to stop being an idiot!

  • no in america u can start at any age im 14 and getting my license but you cant solo until 16 and cant actually get the certifcate until 17 but you can still fly and get all the way up to getting your license and actually take the written test whenever you want usually smaller airports offer better prices but make sure that it is safe and ask to tour the aircraft im also only getting my license for around 7000 dollars at a very nice airport(indyaero in indianapolis) good luck cya in the skies :)

  • me too but im in the uk and its 113 pound a lesson for me at Tatenhill Airfield (EGBM) ( should cost about 5000 for my ppl )

and got to take 7 test and i must do them all in 18 months :/

  • Can someone please reply! Im in the UK whats the best place to get introductory flight? And do you have to be over 17 to have an introductory flight?

  • idk 16 in usa

  • in aus its a minimum of 16 yrs old for a TIF(trial introductory flight) and to hold an SPL (students pilots licence). to actually get the ppl, it really depends on how fast u progress, but ur safe in assuming its around 60 hours (around $150-300 aus per hour with an instructor depending on which plane you use, a cruddy cessna with the 6-pack of instruments wont set you back as much as a glass cockpit). More info to start flying could be found on the uk CAA website

  • Don't need to be 16 to do a TIF... You can be any age. You need to be 16 to hold an SPL however!

  • my mistake, i was thinking of the SPL.

  • =) all good

  • Hi there, there are too many places in the UK to be able to recommend any one place. Most airfields will have schools able to teach you to fly, visit those around you and find out which ones you like. you need to be 16 to get a license but can start learning at an earlier age, or look at an american flight school that will teach for the uk (jar) license. it works out cheaper but the money is required in one lump.

  • omg it does look like michael jackson WTF!!!!!!!!!

  • It does aswell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man i wanna be a fucking pilot right now

  • pause at 0:32 and it 99% looks like Michael Jackson!

  • Lmfao yeah!

  • Yeah, except a civilian license is far easier and less troublesome to get than getting into, and more importantly, graduating from USAF pilot training, which takes nearly 2 years to complete.

  • see im gonna bypass the 12 grand pilots licence and just join the air force and u get paid and get to fly and when u come out u can get a job with an air liner

  • i paid 155 for my introductory flight!....99 dollars

shes cute though so she probably got the cute girl discount lol

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

*Why do we want to be a pilot and being in the sky?

*Why do jobs related to aviation considered to be more professional?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorms.

  • nice i love flying and i love that girl

  • Protip: dont use american flyers, they overcharge like hell

  • I have currently piloted a 737-800 stimaulator for 90 minutes. It is so fun and exciting

  • Comment removed

  • we love flying because simply it is exicting. We all have this view that it is dangerous, and we can fall out of the sky at any second (same reason ppl hate it). We want to be commerical pilots because we see ourselves in the eyes of others, not to mention its awesome. It's one of the highest paying jobs. SAme reason for 1st question. We like aeroplanes because they ar big!

  • Its not one of the highest paying jobs, maybe when you have 20ish years of senority at the same airline then maybe but at first its crap, first year pilots pay at a Regional Airline is on average 20K a year.

But I do agree with you, even though the pay sucks and life quality sucks at first its the most incredible job in the world, flying is amazing!

  • @navymmw no now a pilot is one of the highest paying jobs

  • @badmannagla where did you hear this? I happen to know a few people starting off in the industry who would disagree with you.

Maybe a Pilot who has 20 years seniority, but not Pilots overall.

  • @navymmw probly upper middle class

  • Comment removed

  • if you think that it is expensive in America you will not believe how much it costs in England.

  • I bet its more, alot more. Lol.

I love how people in America think that gas is cheaper in England, they are like "Ohh but its only 1.45 a gallon, why is it so expensive here!!!!" Only thing they dont relize is that its per litter, not per gallon, lol.

  • $12000 on average in california? I hope he means a cup of coffee cost $4.0 that is if you buy it a star-bucks

  • hell ya i play xplane so fun

  • Hmm her approach was a little high. No I'm not a pilot I have just logged a lot of Flight Sim hours. Red/White is what you want not all white on the PAPI. =D

  • That is correct, It is a pilot certificate, not a PILOTS LICENSE.......

  • @RogerDeanSmart im looking to get my flyers license soon whats the difference between the two?

  • im looking for some student loans any idea where i can get some that dont require any thing for collateral ? Please message me back if anyone knows.

  • i think some schoolls they can offer u loans, and u also can go to a bank and ask for a personal loan(hard in this days)

  • x-plane? psh fsx is the best!

  • but the dynamics/physics in Xplane are far more realistic (I'm assuming you're talking about graphics, where FSX has the upper hand). Why do you think that the FAA has approved xplane as a flight simulator for training and logging hours, and turned down MS's FSX offer? yeah...

  • Well, I haven't played Xplane yet, but by looking at the videos, I don't really like the looks of it. It could be a great game but FSX has more copies sold than Xplane which shows it's a funner game to play, maybe not more realistic.

  • the new 60 gig x-plane takes out fsx in both graphics, physics/ and dynamics

  • I heard that X-plane overall isn't as realistic as people make it out to be?

  • well its the only flight sim that's approved by FAA and used/recommded for students. They even advertise and sell licensed copies of the software which are more advanced than the regular version, if you have a proper flight license.

  • I thought FSX was FAA approved as well...

  • It is, but it only counts if you do it on one of their computers. It does help for practice, but won't count. (Stupid rule really)

  • I wish it wasn't so expensive because that seems to be thee only barrier stopping me right now. but I just love flying! I seriously can't get enough of it. Pilot training is too expensive for me but maybe one day I'll be able to pay for it.....hopefully.....with a bit of luck....

  • join the air force they will teach you.

  • Most flight schools have gov. sponsored tuition fee waiver programs which lets the student train for free provided they pass the written test for your pilot's license, if you don't pass, you don't have to pay anything back to them, but they won't pay again if you want to retake the course.

  • so you can learn for free without joining the military??

  • Provided you can prove that you need financial assistance, then yes. Google "aviation school tuition fee waiver program". It's not the only one, but the first link will take you to a school right in front of Miami International Airport called George T. Baker. It has this program, as most schools probably have!

  • yes but have your private license 1 if no they will give others stuffs to do

  • join the R.A.F you wont get killed or anything like that because we arnt vsin a enemy with such force ... youll be able to fly for FREE and be pretty good money

  • nice episode...hey veronica how bout ur number? lol

  • thanks for the tips, good intro video too.

  • looks very cool and you made it look easy maybe a little too easy? duh duh duh
