Knox is a liar! She told lies after lies and lied again. She is being officially sued by the Italian police for slander after claiming that she was verbally abused and hit during interogation (she was informed of this on the 21/01/2010) which is not true but a stupid and desperate attempt to free herself from the mess she is in. Her parents are being investigated as well for defamation. All the Knoxes are doing is hurting the case even more than it is and that's good since she is guilty as sin!

Screening through the comments I have some interesting observation. There are so many idiots are making up hundreds of accussations. Suddenly it seems that the whole world is against USA. Then a plain girl called Amanda Knox become a martyr of great America. Senator Cantwell said Knox's conviction was influenced by anti-Americanism. Why is there such sentiment in Italy? Probably she thinks Italy is near Iraq? Any sensible person must ask Amanda Knox where she was when it happened?

no... there is very little physical evidence. The knife that the prosecution used doesn't match the wound on Meredith's throat. The evidence was also left at the house for months before the police gathered it... and even then, the police force has been criticized b/c they didn't wear gloves or handle the evidence properly. A trial with such scanty evidence would not have went over well in America.

In the OJ trial there was LOADS of incriminating evidence. In this trial there was more than enough incriminating evidence that put Guede at the scene, but only microscopic traces of RS and AK. Its shady to me b/c 1.) Guede didn't immediately call out AK and RS, 2.) The bra strap was left @ the scene for months & possibly contaminated 3.) The DNA of AK & RS was so small 4.) The Jury was unsequestered & exposed to the media quite often 5.) the murder weapon doesn't match vics wounds.

overall, Amanda did give a false statement, but does the statement alone prove her guilt if all the evidence is scanty or inconclusive? I think there is more than enough room for reasonable doubt as to Ak and RS's involvement. I think the the whole thing was poorly handled... this doens't mean that I'm saying the US justice system is perfect, b/c it isn't.

From the beginning Mignini was determined to convict Amanda. Mignini changed her story. She didn't. She was subjected to brutal interrogation. Her text message to her boss "see you later" resulted in Mignini imagining her boss killed Meredith so he went after the two of them. Also she was told to imagine her boss did this. Then they took her words as a confession and would not allow her to retract this.

I'm just being critical. We're all entitled to look at the evidence for ourselves and read statements from opposing sides. I've been doing this for about a week, & I think there is enough room for reasonable doubt (for the 5 reasons I listed above). When I read the news headlines, I just assumed she was flat out guilty, but the evidence gathered against her is so scanty that when I read more about it I'm just not sure. Is it so blind to question these things?

Guilty or innocent, this crime was committed against a British student. Being British, i belive the trial should have taken place in britain and investigated solely by scotland yard. OK, the jury would view the murder scene by video and photography made by qualified professionals called "scenes of crime" or "soc" investigators. Just as the Italians have done, but not as well. The body is already back in Britain and is long buried so what would have been the problem there? The evidence could be easily transported securely and the crime was committed against a British national. British law and justice is one of the best in the world and Italian one of the worst.
