I loved watching Chapi Chapo during the early 80s while growing up in Pakistan. Now I am in US, but its the first time I watched it since I was a kid, I did not know these were also popular in US, just as these were popular world over.
Well they didnt originate from Pinwheel. These premiered in 1974 on the ORTF (in France of course) Pinwheel introduced them to the USA or got the rights to them. Pinwheel showed all kinds of foreign cartoons and shorts. :-)
